Greetings everyone! I am new to the forum. I consider myself a "Nomad In Waiting" and a friendly introvert. I currently live in a modest sticks and bricks house but plan to live a hybrid life between home and the road. I stumbled across Bob Wells on YouTube, purely by accident; and very literally, in an instant, I recognized that Bob held the knowledge and tools for which I had been searching. Like so many of us, I am honored to be a caretaker for an aging parent which will keep me in place for the foreseeable future. But at long last, my life's compass has sprung to life and now I know where I am going! I embrace being a perpetual student and I look forward to learning from everyone. Thank you all for sharing your lives and experiences here!

Welcome to the forum, NomadInWaiting - so many of us are "in waiting" which will work to make us stronger for the day that is coming. I admire those of you who are nurturing precious aging parents. I am just waiting to be able to buy a van.

I understand very well the caretaker of an aging parent as we are in this position now also and I also can wait, even tho the old body wants to hit the open road so bad

Learn all you can, enjoy doing just that and when the time comes you will be able to fly! A hybrid life between home and road is wonderful.

yea I am doing the same.  reading and learning about full time life out on the road.  I am finding a lot of great info on this forum and great people to chat with who are living this dream!
