Be careful with raw eggs. Our commercial egg industry has problems with salmonella. But I confess, Raw egg, cup fresh milk, sugar to taste, shot bourbon, shot rum, shot grape brandy, whisk to a frenzy. Sometimes with a ripe banana. Used to wash down a Peanut Butter on whole grain bread.

If you yoghurt consumers could help me I sure would appreciate it. I could not find any REAL yoghurt in the USA...it was all fat fee and once I did see 2% but by reading the label its fat source was soy.

I am looking for stuff with like 3 ingredients...milk, cream, bacterial enzymes and a minimum of 2% MF...I know it has to be there somewhere!

Here in Canada I can buy this at 7-11. I can get 12% at WalMart, $2 on special for the big 24 ounce!

Time to hit the kitchen *smile*.

I've never seen a national brand like you describe, but you might be able to find regional brands in some places.

Stonyfield in VT makes plain, unsweetened whole milk yogurt. It's certified USDA organic.

I sweeten it with stevia and flavor it with cinnamon. Delicious!

Wow...what a difference that line in the sand makes. I live 45 minutes from the border and cross border shop frequently. The USA has gone fat free nuts and it is nuts because when the take out the fats they replace them with carbs...*sigh*!

So, trying to get back on topic...

I love fruit in the morning but definitely need protein to start my day, with the cold weather I've been baking apples with cheddar cheese and topping them with a bit of honey and cinnamon...I like 'em.

Eggs fresh from the chicken, unwashed, will keep at room temp for quite a while. Also powdered and dehydrated eggs but Ican't say I like them. Regular potatoes and dehydrated hash browns require no refrigeration and may be used as needed. For a bit of flavor try some dehydrated vegetables like onions and bell peppers. If you will have ice or refrigeration for a few days you can precook a package of bacon and simply reheat it by laying it on your potatoes while they cook. Precooking it helps it to last a bit longer than uncooked. For pancakes I like a mix that only requires adding water to mix it up.
Hope this is of some help.

As an afterthought and not sure if it has been covered here. Camp Chef has a two burner lpg camp stove with an oven on top. Great for baking biscuits, etc. May be found on Amazon dot com for around $170.00 and at Cabella's Sporting goods.
