Howdy,
Was just watching some of the videos on youtube, and this seems like a good resource, with the direction I've chosen to take my life in. I'll preface this with telling y'all that I do not live in a van or my car full time, although I am on the road nearly full time, and do end up sleeping in the car fairly often.
I'm a professional gambler, and I travel all over in search of games that are mathematically beatable, and given the nature of my "job", I always intend to be frugal so I don't need to eat out of my bankroll. Generally I do stay in hotels, usually comped by a casino, or bumming a comp off of a colleague. Sleeping in the car, however, is a cheap alternative when I don't have a free room, or when I'm just too tired to continue driving. The only times I pay for lodging are when I don't have a free room and the area has a high crime rate. I stay with family members in between and enjoy time with them.
Hoping even though my lifestyle isn't pure van dwelling, that this community's outlook on frugality and enjoying life is a close enough match that this will be a good resource and community.
See y'all around the forum!
