Having never lived in a sardine tin, I can't say. Those of us who live in a manner different from most folks would not agree with you. Most of us are quite proud, and justly so, of our choice of how and where we live when we assume this lifestyle. Whatever you choose to live in you will find the members of this board supportive and helpful. Mangrunts, thanks for sharing your home and dreams with us. I for one am interested and look forward to more. I am just east of you, for the time being, in Sac.

Hi Aunt Meg. It is a self-contained rig. It only has 18 thou original miles! If the price of gas doesnt break the bank I plan on going to as many states as possible. Yes, I WOULD love to have a piece of land where I could 'sit' and save a little money before heading out again. It's a catch 22. I need to save but I need the land TO sit and save! lol. Maybe I will get a part-time job somewhere and earn some extra cash.
Thanx for the comment.
robin
Willy, I just read a few of your previous posts. I guess it would be fair for me to suggest for you to revisit the grammar.about site you posted. The time I have been on this site leads me to believe that not everyone here is the same. Most seem to be accepting of others lifestyle without judging.
Mangrunts, P.M. me. I have a website you may be interested in.
  Hey mangrunts,
Welcome and congrats on retirement. Wow, $500, OUCH, that would sure buy a lot of go juice for that neat RV. I'm certain if ya head a little more east you'll discover plenty of boondock'n sites [http://freecampsites.net/ ] and for fresh water [http://www.findaspring.com/] . Now time to start "break'n" in that motor ... 18k? ... that thing is beg'n to hit the road.
   Good luck to you.

My answer was directed at the original poster and a person's opinions/experiences were solicited. Can't see how that would be considered judgmental. Living in an RV park is, in my opinion (which is shared by others I've known and still know), like living in a tin of sardines and not much different, in many respects, from living in an apartment.
Now, AFAIK, I AM allowed to have an opinion since both Canada and the USA are ostensibly 'free', it would be interesting to find out how this can be construed as my judging (and denigrating it seems) those living a different lifestyle.
Whatever.. a tempest in a teapot and my dislike of RV parks in general, seemingly a 'hot button' subject, would be better kept to myself in order to minimize the indignation of others. ..Willy.
