James and Elizabeth here. We finally took the leap 5 weeks ago after planning for 10 years. In that 10 years we've built the teardrop,

raised our children into independent adults, and managed to save some money.

5 weeks ago we sold the house and began our teardrop adventure.

The adventure started in a friend's backyard, where we helped do some repair work to his Flippac camper, and some work to his house.

Welcome to the CRVL forums James and Elizabeth! Your teardrop looks great! Enjoy your adventures!

To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

We drove to Indiana to visit my family. Helped around my Mom's house getting much needed things done. Helped my brother work on his pool deck. As a reward we got home fried chicken courtesy of my mother.

We also floated the White River with my brother to the Medora Covered Bridge.

We found a nice campsite off one of the forest roads.

Had a lovely float on Hamlin Lake

Next stop is the Upper Peninsula. We'll try to find a dispersed site somewhere nearish to the Pictured Rocks area, barring that we'll settle for a campground......

It's been a while since I've updated this. Lol. In the meantime we've traveled across the country stopping along the way seeing the sights. We've got a blog up and running if you'd like to see our travels.
