Now that I have your attention jazz class will resume. I am giving you your homework in advance for I will be in NYC for the weekend attending the Beethoven Piano Concertos: A Philharmonic Festival - Nos. 2 and 3 at Lincoln Center featuring Yefim Bronfman, on piano.

Over the weekend please tune your ear to Stan Getz & Charlie Byrd - Jazz Samba 1962.

When I return we will have a discussion on the merits of using two drummers.

Never trust the stars
when you're about to fall in love
look for hidden signs or you'll begin to sigh
Never trust the moon
when you're about to taste his kiss
he knows all the lies and lives up to lie
just wait for a night
when the skies are all bare
and see
if you care

never trust your dreams
when you're about to fall in love
or your dreams will quickly fall apart
so if you're smart, really smart
only trust your heart
