I just bought my first camper van!

I checked on a transmission cooler today Slowday and the mechanic says that I have a really nice transmission cooling system built in by the manufacturer. &nbsp;Excellent suggestion!<br><br>I'm sitting in the mechanic's waiting area again while waiting for them to get a 7 point plug wired in with a brake controller for my cargo trailer.<br><br>Just got back from my 2 day camping trip. &nbsp;Even my very skeptical young friend (14 yr old boy) who's first reaction to seeing the van was 'yuck' now really likes it and thinks it is cool. &nbsp;<br><br>The main problem that I can see with the van will be remedied by pulling the cargo trailer. &nbsp;I'm definitely going to have to have more storage room for my kitchen stuff. &nbsp;I do a LOT of cooking. &nbsp;Y'all come on over and I'll cook for you if we happen to end up in the same camping spot. &nbsp;<br><br>I think that I may be able to fit my cello. &nbsp;I think I can park it in the passengers seat&nbsp;<img src="/images/boards/smilies/biggrin.gif" class="emoticon bbc_img">&nbsp;&nbsp;<br><br>Scheduled for departure at the end of next week. &nbsp;Can't wait!

I'd like to see the inside, TxGypsy. Got any pix you can share; my conversion van is stripped out (by me, long ago) and I like seeing others rigs for ideas.

I'll definitely try to get some interior pictures tomorrow.&nbsp; I've got to do a major cleaning job on it anyhow.&nbsp; How can a teenager be out of the van most of the day...have me constantly picking up and cleaning behind him....and it still looks like something that the Huns sacked?

<br><br>If by the 'manufacturer' he means Dodge, then that would be the stock trans cooler which all vehicles with auto trannys have.&nbsp; When towing much of a trailer the stock trans cooler might not be enough to handle the extra heat. Or does he mean the conversion company added an auxiliary cooler? These are usually mounted in front of the radiator and add extra cooling capacity.
