I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but I'm so excited that I just had to share! Here is my new rig! http://sanantonio.craigslist.org/rvs/3787160890.html The guy I bought it from hasn't taken down the ad yet. So far I have driven it 250 miles back towards home and it drives great. We are having wind advisories in West Texas today(imagine that...lol). I can't believe I am getting 15.5 mpg in this wind! I was dreading the first fill up and finding out what my mileage was going to be. Heck this isn't much less than I get in my minivan.

Happy! Happy! Happy!

Going to get the transmission serviced and the oil changed tomorrow and than start getting it ready to head out on the road!

COOL, Nice. Looks like you can plug in to 110v for the summer heat.

Just start checking everything. I just had a leak in a vacuum hose that I did not replace. Bummer, took me several hours and posting in forum to find it.

James AKA Lynx

That is a great rig! Congrats. Gotta love that milage in wind, heck my newer pickup doesn't do that well.

Good for you! I hope you have many happy adventures in it.

Craigslist post is down; lets have some pics :&gt
Or at least describe it. Is it a Ford, Dodge or Chevy?

I'll post some pics in the next day or two. It's in the shop getting checked out and serviced. I bought a cargo trailer to go behind it yesterday. I'll try to take a picture of the entire rig out. I love my new-to-me van!

I just set er up for the first time at an RV park and everything works! I LOVE IT! I'm sitting on the couch being gently rocked by the West Texas winds...my schnauzer contentedly snoozing at the foot of the couch. I can reach over and get a cold water out of the refrigerator without getting up. I just microwaved a couple of bean burritos and cut up an avocado. Not only was it a better meal than I would likely find at a restaurant, it saved me at least $12.

Since I joined Passport America, the RV space I'm currently sitting in enjoying A/C in the approx 108 degree heat only cost me $12.50 as opposed to the average 'cheap' motel rate in this area of $80.

I figured It'd be kind of claustrophobic, but due to the really high ceiling, it doesn't feel confining at all.

Even in the high wind conditions that we've had over the last couple of days I'm getting 15 mpg. It rides like a cadillac....amazingly smooth.

I have my own potty! No more public bathrooms!

You already get it

I was finally able to get pictures! Here's my camper van and new cargo trailer. I loaded the motorcycle and 4 wheeler into the trailer and it was a perfect fit. I was sweating that a bit.

I'll post interior pictures after I get back from this short camping trip with my buddy. Translation....van is currently full of swimming noodles, sleeping bags and other miscellaneous junk that kids seem to think is necessary.

SWEET!

Good looking rig!
The tire tracks in the pictures look like your practice area for backing up and other maneuvers.

Good idea! !!

Bob

LOL...fortunately I don't need any practice. I used to be a truck driver. I'm parked in front of the carport so that I can hopefully work on installing tie downs in the trailer in the shade. Shade is pretty precious stuff out here in the Chihuahuan desert!

Nice rig. If it doesn't already have one, think about adding a transmission cooler.

Nice!

PS: I don't care what anyone says, those swimming noodles are fly

Yep. a high top Class B is hard to beat. Congratulations.

Were I single, I would never had gotten rid of mine.
