My name's Geo, and I'm excited to be here. I recently bought a 1978 Ford Econoline in very good condition with 56,000 original miles. It's a 12 passenger church van which I'm currently converting into a camper/rv. I know that most people would discourage me from buying such an old van, but I'm a service writer at an automotive shop which lets me work on my own vehicles when I'm off the clock. Much of the mechanical work I can do myself, but when I do run into a problem, I have plenty of help from the techs. I don't have the pictures posted online anywhere, but when I figure out how to upload them directly to the forum, I'll put some up.

I've never lived extensively in a vehicle, but I'm no stranger to the road, formerly being a musician. I'm also a quite experienced camper who is into prepping, sustainable living and urban homesteading. I have two dogs (a blue picardy spaniel and a yorkie), who will be travel companions. I have a work schedule which changes from week to week, so it's hard to plan things like trips, mini-vacations and visits to friends and family. My goal with the van is to have the ability to pick up and go at a whim when my schedule allows, so that I can spend more of my life enjoying, instead of acquiring.

Okay.... I think I figured out posting pictures... Sorry these aren't that great, they are from my phone.
