As a widow woman now for some years, I just want to say there seems to be a fair amount of hooking up going on among senior citizens out on the road these days.

Friendliness can be interpreted as an invitation, leading one to be very careful about more conversation than just a friendly hello.

Having been in a monogamous relationship for nearly 30 years, being widowed in the 21st century has been eye-opening.

I would just like to say, on behalf of other older women with similar mindset, that we are not all of the same mindset. 👼
I have been confounded that society has been brainwashed into thinking advancement is turning single women into people who are expected to provide a service which men used to pay for and society used to frown upon. If anyone thinks this is coincidental, including that porn is being pushed onto boys and men, no. This is to steal the joy of true connection, because two people happy together are less vulnerable to negative influences....and don't need to surf the internet, and online shop.

Well, quite honestly, I don’t know that it is women providing a service any more than it is men providing a service.

Who is servicing who, really?

I think there is a mutual servicing going on, which while good-for-them seems more base and animalistic than some of us are interested in.

It just seems to be a 21st century reality, even among we oldsters.
