In today’s world you never know, maybe if you had a 1970 truck with a matching paint job you might need to keep an appointment calendar for all your dates! Lol!!! Lots of people out there looking for somebody to “fix” to suit them!

...In my own view Nomads need their own rigs, their own money, and space....
Agreed. It's all about freedom. I did have a close friend along on a van trip years ago (VW bus) but most of the time we were outside of the van and working. Think: live out of the van not in it.

Also, taking out the passenger seat does give you more room. When you sell it, you can always pick up a seat at the junkyard to include in the sale.

Just like a lot of relationships that result from dates! Lol!!!

As a widow woman now for some years, I just want to say there seems to be a fair amount of hooking up going on among senior citizens out on the road these days.

Friendliness can be interpreted as an invitation, leading one to be very careful about more conversation than just a friendly hello.

Having been in a monogamous relationship for nearly 30 years, being widowed in the 21st century has been eye-opening.

I would just like to say, on behalf of other older women with similar mindset, that we are not all of the same mindset.

Same can be said for the 55+ parks. If that is what you are looking for, I'm sure you can find it. I once had an aging male relative in Mesa who went to every single dance, I guess you could say his dance card was full.

But is it legal for a passenger to sit on the cooler if you have a working seat belt? Do you have to have passenger seats to legally haul a passenger?

Don't know...don't wanna know.

I quit 'dating' a long time ago. Quit 'seeking', too, although the fire still burns.
Now, my intention is to exhibit all it is I would have in another...in other words, be the change I want to see.

Attraction rather than promotion seems to get slower, fewer, yet more sustainable, and joyful, results.

Of course, I'm sitting out here alone in the desert contemplating what physical attributes should the rescue dog I'm gonna adopt have cuz I'm tired of washing dishes by myself!

Metata- I think the dog is a better choice. Some wise person told me if I wanted to see who loved me more my dog or my wife I should put them both in the trunk of my car and drive for 20 miles then open the lid and see which one greets me with a kiss.

I can recommend beagles.  I don't wash dishes, just sanitize.

"women in the vandwelling life don't have as long a checklist(meaning the materialistic stuff) as women in the s&b life."

True...a vandwelling woman would be interested in a guy with mechanical skills, jury-rigging abilities and cooking as a hobby, LOL.

OMG !!!! I fit all those,  Why has nobody told me !!!!!  most women view those things as minor pro's at best.  but it makes sense... sum of the women in old beat up vans I saw when camping in slab city about 4 winters ago I'm guessing to them with my full mechanics tool set and power tool set, plus being good at Building shelving, and that I can make cheap crap food taste gourmet  maybe just maybe to atleast a small percentage of nomad women I'd be the Nomad equivalent of a millionaire GQ model with a 14 inch ...er... rooster :D....

You sound like somebody I’d like to get to know. You sure sound like you have the skills and tools that would be useful around my old van for a while. I’m not interested in marriage or dating LOL. I am a straight male, but sure could use a friend knowledge and resources. Not interested in anything else:)

I think some of us can only be carbon dated.

Pffft. Don't think I'm some ego driven fantasist (cause I AM! :D)
... I swear I'm on the radar of most of the divorcees here in my little town... I own property, I have an income, and have no criminal, financial, mental health, baby daddy, or substance abuse issues (that they know of :D). One word for the very few times I've tried dipping my toes into the dating pool: that word is: PSYCHO. Psycho exe's, children, personal issues, etc. Combined with financial, substance abuse, and mental health problems (among many), I find it FAR safer to stay a lonely widower... I now invite your scathing responses to my obvious deficiencies both mental and physical (especially physical :D)...

Cheers!

By the way... I also understand from my female friends that the same complaints hold true vice versa! Not that this response was coerced by any person by any means figuratively twisting my figurative arm... Nope... :D (help me...)

Cheers!

:dodgy:  Oh I think I've passed through towns like yours, let me guess:
:s  Former company/factory town where young men leave town as soon as they are 17-19 either to college or the military or the big city looking for work, BUT NOT BEFORE KNOCKING UP THEIR HIGHSCHOOL SWEETHEART, thus trapping her in said town where single women greatly outnumber single men between the ages of 20- the tumbstone years, where the majority of single males are under 18 and over 70, a place where nobody want's to live there but plenty want to raise their kids there or retire there. where the handful of single men in town pretty much have their pick, where at the one bar in town down by the highway anytime some guy nobody recognizes stops in off the road to grab a beer and take a pee, the women folk act like sharks who smell blood in the water.  :D

Yep in my youth I've passed through places like that, hell I've maybe fathered children in towns like that  lol not good places for horny young men to discover.
