I'm unitary... but I did dress up as a hooker for Halloween in college... that was fun! Chest was really bruised afterwards from guys in the bars punching me in the "****s"... which were softballs. Should have used nerf balls or something, but not sure if those existed...

Regarding "matters of having sex", I recall reading that a lot of guys who transitioned to female but kept their male parts, were really upset that only gay guys were interested in them. The were hoping that their female appearance would attract straight guys. I thought it sounded unlikely, so looked up some forums, and yep... it's a common expectation. Where would someone get such a hairbrained idea from if not the perpetual BS/confusion/chaos generator that is the internet?

Hoping we can go back to how it was, which was actually more free for everybody. The "spectrum of gender" is that there are varying degrees of feminine and masculine traits and sexual preference in both genders. No big deal... wasn't even a problem in my ultra conservative, religious, backward puny midwestern town where I grew up. You can wear whatever you want, and act however you want. But sorry Dororthy, except for the very few biological outliers, nobody is going to be "magically transformed" to the other gender through surgery and drugs.

Why should anyone “care” about how others think as long as it doesn’t directly affect them? I’ve managed to work with others of all kinds, religions and etc. All are capable of living and working together if they respect each other’s individual rights. Corporations haven’t figured out well enough how to control individuals yet but anything that might unite people’s voices they seem to do their best to disrupt and organized religious right is there to help in my opinion.

For 50-60 years or so we've had laws in place making discrimination of all kinds illegal. That doesn't keep it from happening of course, but we've had steady progress in that time regarding tolerance and equality.

Now all of a sudden we have gender wars, race wars, age wars, culture wars, etc. Any way that wedge can be driven between the masses is propagandized to the fullest.

I don't believe it's accidental.

All I’m gonna say here is that gender neutral bathrooms are a good thing.

I’ve never seen a multi-stall gender neutral bathroom, but it’s certainly doable even with screened but otherwise open urinals.

Maybe just go a bit deeper with the screen, there are certainly males out there from which that little bit of extra privacy would be good for me.

Education, science and common sense don’t seem to be present in Trump’s orders. Many seem to contradict each other’s goals. Conflict and chaos don’t seem to be working for Trump or the America he represents.

I hate that this is going to be my first ever comment in these forums and I hope you'll understand where I'm coming from and why I need to say it...

I'm not even sure where to start with the levels of misunderstanding about trans folks in this comment. As someone who is trans, I would love for cis folks to think about how little they know or understand trans lives before speaking confidently about them. Often it's parroting a lot of misinformation that takes hold in people's minds and does not reflect our lived reality.

We exist and have always existed and right now we're under attack in the US (and other countries, but I'm a US citizen so I speak from my personal experience) for no reason other than we're a small minority who doesn't have a lot of folks who will stand up for us combined with a massive campaign of disinformation. Alongside immigrants, we're just the first group in the "first they came for..." and quite honestly that terrifies me.

I hope, as someone new to vanliving, to find support and understanding within this community for what my trans community is going through and the implications of that for other communities. I don't mind answering questions coming from a place of genuine good faith.

I can understand the oligarchs really not wanting communism to get popular, and the "cold war" was still a thing then. But from the mid 70s til about 9/11 things things seemed pretty chill to me. Maybe I just wasn't paying attention...

This new tactic seems to be all about mind control/brain washing to divide the masses over every possible issue. This is AI driven and it gets better all the time. Hey maybe it's accidental, since outrage is apparently addictive. But I think the point is to disempower us, "divide and conquer", and will lead to more serious mind-effing.

Where men and women are concerned, we've grown up during a period of massive cultural change with gender roles and expectations. The standard model of marrying and having kids, mom stays at home, and dad works... with support from family, religion, and community... has been completely blown up. That model hadn't changed much for thousands of years, and was universal world wide.

I grew up in that and rejected it at a young age, and was subjected to lots of shunning and shaming and abuse. Frankly, I think that's how it should be and surely has always been, until recently. We should have to care about freedom enough to bear the cost. Those who don't should stick with the system that has been proven to work. 99% of the time when someone is completely free to find their own meaning in life with no community or role, they quickly end up an addict to drugs or ideas or a million different things, and are confused and not happy. This is the norm, now.

One of my sisters went the other direction from me, and doubled down on a conservative religious life. She was smart and did her planning and even picked the town to do it in. Got married and had 5 kids, stayed home and did everything for them. All are grown now and are fine upstanding religious humans with functional happy lives, and they are actually fun to be around!

No, he listed two sexes. "Gender" refers to social, psychological, cultural, and behavioral constructs particular to humans. These constructs vary quite broadly across different groups of humans, as well as individually.
