Hi everyone :)

This is something I have been thinking about for a few years. I drive a dump truck for a living and have a couple of friends that live in the truck yard year round in RV's and converted buses, I thought "what a great idea". I am now single and an empty nester looking around and saying "why am I still struggling to pay for this place?" I can't come up with an answer that makes sense. I have a lot of friends in the mid-west that are telling me come on out but I'm so tied up with home and possessions it seems impossible! I am looking at a couple of RV's right now and hope to be buying by this spring/summer. In the mean time I will be gathering all the info I can to minimize "surprises". One of the hardest things is probably clearing out the possessions. It takes time, so start early. Sell it, donate it, or dump it. DW and I were surprised at all the junk we'd accumulated.

I wanted to sell the house, but she wants it as a home base - kind of a safety blanket, I guess. Somewhere for her to return to, if only mentally. But it's mostly cleaned out, now. Friend and neighbors will watch it for us, and one of her former students runs a lawn care, so he'll keep it tidy for us.

Once you start doing things, and finding out it's really possible, the tasks seem less like chores and get a bit easier. So get started.
