Hmmmm, interesting. &nbsp;I will consider that. &nbsp;In the meantime, I turn off the fridge when not used. &nbsp;I only turn on the fridge which is powered by a 2nd auxilary battery when I'm travelling around in the van. &nbsp;At this time, I only store water and Gatorade type beverages in the fridge, so it doesn't matter if it goes back to room temperature. &nbsp;If at some point I need to store things like eggs and milk, then I would need to consider turning on the fridge longer of course.<br /><br /><br /><br />

Solar power would be cool! But I literally have no room for solar panels on the roof! After reading some very detailed articles about calculating wattage requirements for solar, my head was spinning! Conversely, my 2nd battery is a no brainer! I even have an LCD voltage meter attached to the inverter to give a digital readout on how much power is left at any given time. If need to recharge, simply turn the ignition key! So easy, even a caveman can do it, haha! :)
