1/2, good to see you're following your nose. I'll bet there is at least one cafe in every town makes CFS.

Will be in McDermitt about 1300. Going to try that CFSrecommendation. Having a scone right now taking a break. Snow Bunny is a cruiser. Stayed at a Casino in Pendelton last night.

Only if it meets or excceds my expectations.  :p

I once hiked a 14er with a woman who had short-roped herself to her strapping young male Malamute. That guy could pull a load. I should have hooked onto the back of the chain. We saw a herd of mountain goats on that hike. There are herds of goats scattered around on various 14ers in CO - for the goat lovers amongst us.

1315 on the clock, 1/2 must be having CFS in McDermitt about now.

The CFS was good but not recipe sharing worthy.  Nice drive today. I liked the little town of Parma.  Just north of the town was and old farmhouse with weathered barns. Around the barns was every Halloween decoration and novelties known to man. I wanted to stop and place the D.O in front of the witch and snap a photo. Immediately  after there was a drive in theater in great shape Called the MOTORVU. On the kiosk it said "See you in March!"

I think I am going to drive on , looks a little dodgy here. Plus nothing of a town.

Ha, there's practically almost **nothing** for the next 700 miles going south on US 95, assuming you bypass Vegas.

I checked in Tonopah, and there is the Pittman Cafe inside the Mitzpah Hotel with a form of CFS.
"COUNTRY FRIED STEAK
Tenderized beef steak, battered then fried, covered in country gravy served with house-made
Buttermilk mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables".

It's CFS all the way down.

I would need more than a travois. I am so weak from the 24/7- 9 month battle I went thru. Only a few could Imagine. I think the surrender finished me off. I am going to take baby steps. Sounds strange from an old soldier/airman. But it is what it is. I was injured 1 week before the battle began. And wasn't able to get treatment, the treatment was there but I wasn't.
