I should get a hold of LowTech on this one, been looking around for a small canvas top military trailer to buy, the ones Hummers pull, thinking of taking a drive while in Arizona or Nevada, If anyone has an idea let me know thanks

I considered buying one to pull behind my lifted Jeep. Problem was, would have had to convert the pinnel hitch to a conventional as well as lower the towing part to fit my receiver. After that the basic height of the trailer made it not conducive for using it as I wanted.

Looked cool but just not practical in my opinion. Just know that they are not exactly plug and play. They will require some modification to be used by a civilian vehicle. They can be had for a good value as they are nice painted aluminum well built trailers.

Gotcha, Living in San Francisco does not afford me the luxury of a parking spot but I have a short driveway and when my son sells his crashed Mazda Miata "M" series I will have room for a smallish trailer, they are cool trailers and I have never been up and close to really check them out I have a 3/4 ton pick-up with a diesel and I believe the 2" reciever has
a pinnel style adapter available

It may work great with a full size truck. And no rust issues for where you are.

Tell me about it I am about 3 miles inland from the salty air but still the salty sea breeze works it's wonders with rust being an issue.

Wagoneer,
If you get one of the "newer" ones, the ones pulled by hmmwv's, there will be several things you'll want/need to change.
I prefer the older m101's. They were made to be pulled by the Chevy CUCV's. They have Chevy rims on the axle, surge brakes, and a 3/4 ton cap.
I do have one that I'm willing to sell. :)
It needs some work and could use new tires.
Send me an email if interested.
Also willing to talk about the m111's.
