Can Can Man

Taking a shortcut thru an industrial area in Tucson we spotted this bike rig. It has what might be called a living space covered with aluminum cans held on by chicken wire.
Tried to speak with the guy but he ignored me so we drove on.

Makes me wonder if at some point the cans became something he just loved to have around, or if the nearest Recycling Center is just a step to far to pedal too...

They are only paying .55 per lb...maybe he is waiting for price to rise.
Or going for a world record.

I wish he had been into talking...would have liked to express my amazement. Never saw anything like that in my life. Gotta be a world record.

I knew Calif paid more than here but didn't know it was up to 2 bucks.

Maybe with all the dead air space in the cans he's using them as insulation as well as a savings account.

yeah every once in a while you about someone getting busted bringing a load from AZ into CA. after all they a tripling their money. this really shouldn't surprise anybody, the government tries to manipulate markets and the black market steps in. happens every time. highdesertranger
