I suppose my main hobby, which can be pretty isolating for me, which I want to change that, but still will want to play some of my fave games.  I play mostly single-player types, and love the online crossword puzzles as well (brain fuel right ;) ).  Hidden Object I've been playing for years now and my faves are Labyrinths series by Domini Games.  I fell in love with The Room series and have all 4, from Fireproof Developers.

Now I am trying to pick out a game that I might be able to play with others.  Maybe some of you have heard of Skyrim "Grandma" I think they call her.  She is 80 and started gaming with the Skyrim seriers.

Anyway, just curious if other gamers are playing that are amongst the Nomads?  Maybe even some that can eventually help me to find more games I might be able to handle, Denise

I'd definitely be up for a couple sessions of nomad Dungeons and Dragons. If anyone else would be interested.

That's great Jason, I'd call you a real gamer being able to play that one. I was invited to play LOTR (Lord of the Rings), and I Skyrim so I did get LOTR and thought how fund it was to make your own character and outfit (I always wanted to be a female dragon-slayer, lol ) but that was so over my head I got discouraged I'd never be able to play. Lately I've been hangin around Steam looking more at those big'uns but haven't gotten into trying it, yet ;)

anyone play The Talos Priniciple?  Single Player but it has a 3rd person view you can use, or not.  Also, I found a pretty good, and thorough guide to help you learn to play.  Walkthroughs don't help me much as there are no "instructions" usually.   This site has it all in text as well!! gorgeous scenery/atmosphere too

I play diablo, that will probably change when I finally get on the road.. will be nice to have start link.. But I have enjoyed a few card games also. although have not played in a long time

What I also love about my games is they can be played offline, which I think will come in very handy at times out camping ;)
I have heard of Diablo but I'll look it up.  I use steam once in awhile for some games, but I usually find better prices elsewhere ;)

I play games, Goldengirl. Haven't seen you on lately, but if you come back I can suggest some. Think I started gaming when I was 47. Ie. Runescape, Wurm, Minecraft, Popmundo and most recently Sims 3 and 4.

I have played a game called "VGA Planets" which has now been updated to "NU Planets," for many years. What makes it good for multiplayer Nomad players is that it is turn-based. This means you do your "turn" when it is convenient for you and then send it to the game server. All the other players do the same. The server "runs" all turns and sends back results.

This allows me to play a game with players from around the world, even when I may need to travel between one hotspot or wireless connection to another. It's perfect for us nomads. So, I would suggest looking for a similar "turn-based" type of game.

Been playing Skyrim for about a year, but it does not have a true co-op or multiplayer. My multi player favorites are COD and Diablo, mostly play on Xbox.

O how i enjoyed D&D back in the day. Hard to find a DM nowadays.

Popmundo is turn based. The player chooses a music genre and instrument. They skill up and perform around the world. I enjoyed it, but once you start making & selling records, it wasn't quite so turn based. Found I had to be online more often.

Interesting trivia about turn based games. They originated in prisons. Prisoners write down their chess move on paper and snail mail it to another player outside of prison. Imagine waiting a week or longer to make a move.

Some friends play "Mexican Train" Dominos. Easy to learn and up to 6 can play. Of course you can use the dominos for other games as well. It is pretty popular with van dwellers as it is compact to store.

I've never played dominoes, but I've always been curious. Forgot to mention backgammon. Played it all through college in the '70's. Just taught my granddaughter to play and she was tickled to beat her mom.

I haven't played Dominos yet, is it cool, by the way I'm playing Minecraft it's awesome

Does anyone here play minetest (not a typo) by any chance?

Hedge wars or open clonk would probably be easier, but you get to build stuff on Minetest and I still have some of my kid's worlds.

That'll do, I guess.

I'm running a vanilla Android install on a Galaxy A13, dual sim but not the 5G model as soon as I learn how.

Currently on crapware with a worse attitude, so
por favor, sé paciente, Dios aún no ha terminado conmigo.

Hubby plays chess.... I like Mexican dominos. As a kid we never left home without Monopoly or Chinese checkers.
My oldest son always has a few decks of magic cards he said there are lots of game stores/places everywhere.
I don't much care for video type games..... unless I am waiting for someone or something. I don't do that very well.
We also look for a pub or something to find pool tables and lately we are finding Mini golf places.

My sole source of income is playing online poker, maybe not the type of gamer you were expecting :)

I'm still playing different solitaire games and World of Warcraft.
I'd love to be able to play video games, but the bandwidth and power would be too great. I guess I could prepare for gaming (minus my PC) for when I pay to camp.

Is WoW entirely online? Which internet provider do you use?
