We took my mom (87) to her first trunk or treat night and she was so funny. She is in the middle of dementia and has recently lost her husband so it has been a hard fall season for all of us and this is something we have done for a few years now. She watched as all the kidos went past our car and got goodies. I asked her to hold the goody bag while I kept putting goodies in the activity I had going for the kids. I don't know who ate more candy her or the kids. She gets cold even in the house and we had to almost drag her outside, but we took the small electric blanket and my super warm coat she did not complain of cold even once. She had so much fun. we went through about 15+/- pounds of candy and lots of Non candy goodies.

Does anyone else do the trunk or treat stuff?

I heard raindrops on my roof. I got up to lower my popup roof down and when I looked outside there was a full half circle double rainbow. Flocks of early birds were up flying celebrating the first rain in weeks! But it is not raining heavily, just a series of very brief and not very heavy showers.

I had planned to clean out my car this morning while it was still cool outside. So much for that idea! Doing it in the rain is not going to work. I will delay moving to Quartzsite by another day or two to get that chore and a few other vehicle related chores out of the way.

Finding a nice surprise like a rainbow is always fun we had one this afternoon too. Sometimes almost worth the rain.....

It is cool enough today in Lake Havasu City that I closed my sliding window at lunch time as the breeze coming in had me feeling pop sickle toes chilled! A very welcome contrast to yesterday.

Oh no!!! I missed a rally big event on lake Havasu on October 28, over 600 people dressed up in their Witching outfits and took to the water paddling back and forth under the London Bridge. That is something to look forward to seeing next year! I wonder how many of the YouTube Nomadic bloggers have caught on to this event. For sure it is a very unique and fun event to film for their vlogs. Especially if they were to dress up, get in a boat and participate in it!

Getting settled in for a while at the LTVA in Quartzsite. It has been fairly windy with chilly mornings and evenings. But hopefully this weather front will move on through next week and it will warm up to back to more typical temperatures for November.

I have not setup my popup-hub screen room yet, I delayed that due to the weather. I have not needed to setup any shade cloth as I want the heat from the sun.

But today I did get my diesel heater/stove setup and ready for the winter season. At least some progress made on getting setup in my winter camp! Now it is lunch time, followed by nap time. It is a hard life!🤣

I need some coffee this morning to turn my energy on, that and some Tylenol! I got too cold last night and tossed too much and woke up with a sore back so getting out my down sleeping bag is on the list of chores for today. Also on the list is getting a gallon of diesel for my heater! This is not shaping up to be an exceptionally warm winter in Quartzsite.

Now that I have been at camp in Quartzsite for a couple of weeks it is time to setup my popup screen room that functions as my workshop/hang out/storage space. This week there is a good weather spell without strong winds for setting it up and it is also good weather for sorting out the things stored in the back of my car out. My shade cloth arrays can get stored in my screen room. I won’t need those again until sometime in March when the temperature heats back up.

I was feeling a bit chilled this morning, it is not truly cold, in the low50s outside. I thought heat sounded good though. I flipped on the switch that provides power to the controller panel for the That switch has a led light in it that lights up when on. Then pushed the power button on the panel and nothing happened. No response at all to pushing that button.

Another day, another new puzzle to solve. I have never had a no response at all issue when pushing that button. Fortunately the controller is its own separate unit. If the controller has failed I can ship it to Seattle for repair or replacement. But hopefully it is something very simple, such as a loose connection.

I tried again a few minutes ago It decided to fix itself! Happy for that as even though it is mid morning it still feels chilly to me. I will leave the heater running for an hour or so while I get the Etsy orders I need to ship out today stuffed into envelopes and print out the shipping postage labels. Then off to town to get it into the mail. Might as well do laundry too.

I do not have a long enough cord-ial relationship with Jason to be tapping into his power supply🤣

But this no heat situation is a reminder that I need to quit procrastinating getting my generator tuned up. I do travel with a small, low watts, 110v heater as a backup heat source. My Honda generator is only 900 useable watts. But my travel trailer is small so a lower wattage heater is sufficient for Southern AZ.
