Nature Lover . . . so glad you are connected to the world wide web. If you have to sit for long hours, at least you can enjoy nature vicariously. I enjoyed my time in a retirement home but it was independent living not assisted living. My mom was in assisted living and hated it. Maybe too intrusive? My independent living apartment was just like any other apartment really, only set aside only for seniors 55 and up.

Anyhow, I know you've had a hard time of it this last few years and I'm feeling for you. Remember Psalm 34:19 (one of my favorite Psalms) and remember, this too will pass. I'm glad you're doing everything you can to heal. I will pray for you.

Oh my, I'm getting visited by my grandchildren now. Their parents want them to stay in their yard (2 RV Park Spaces away) but especially my 6 year old granddaughter does not honor limitations and sneaks over here. What's a grandma to do? They wanted to see the inside of my trailer earlier today and later my granddaughter returned alone. I made her phone her mom to tell her where she was and her mom (my daughter) was not happy about it.

I remember being a mom of little people. It is scary if your child leaves the yard but if they go inside someone else's home it is near impossible to find them! Not going to allow it anymore unless they have a signed permission slip from mom or dad.

Last night she wanted to sing to me... she has a guitar she strums, while making up lyrics. They were mainly about school at home and wearing masks and how she's been wanting all her life to just have fun, but this hasn't been a good year for it. Sad!

Aside from that it seems nothing exciting is happening. My life is peaceful. I'm liking this... hope it stays peaceful for a while. I still like to get in the van and drive around town once in a while. I wait for it to warm up. I can drive out of town to a certain turnout I like next to the river, or drive to the meadows to see my pathetic heap of junk former home. In a small mountain town the number of places you can drive to, if you just want to cruise a while, are limited.

I watched Bob's recent video about buying a new (cheap) refrigerator. I'm tempted to get one to use as a freezer. My trailer fridge and freezer don't work at all... and my Iceco van fridge is set on refrigeration... so no freezer. But then, is it worth it to have a freezer when I can walk across the street to the store and get things out of their freezer? That seems like a thriftier option.

In general it is better to move around as much as you can, your body was built to move for best results. You can get a padded boot for that foot, the foam on those is about 2 inches thick and will protect the injured part. If you set there too long you will wear out the part you are setting on instead. My 2 cents.

We know that all things are possible to them that believe....and I know you believe, so where there is a will...there is a way. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Thanks fellow nomads for all the good wishes and advice. I’m doing exactly what the doctor says for now. And I plan to get over this. By the grace of God I got over an awful lot to get where I am.

And crofter - your suggestion about that other part, the one I’m sitting on, it’s already cracked right down the middle. :);):)

Was nice to look at the news and see that the stimulus checks will arrive ..eventually.
Also to find out that persons 75 abd o.der will be in the 1A group toget yhe new t covid vaccine shots before the end of December. My fornmer workshop mate is over 75. I might

Lovely overcast but not rainy day. Got propane, pizza, packages (3) ... haven't opened them yet. Did laundry. Entertained granddaughter. Home again now... to the TT I mean. FEMA phoned for another interview about my current housing situation. I heard they're finally ready to offer mobile housing units but I'm okay with the TT instead especially since their offer expires in 18 months.

Well maybe you could ask them if at the end of 18 months they will sell them to the persons who have been occupying them. Especially if they are willing to put it onto your land and  help with getting the utilities hooked up. You do need a power pole :)

Ah piece and quiet tonight, the noisest  neighbor has gone away for the holidays. Two more people behind me also left.

I had 7 orders from this weekend to ship out this morning. I am able to run my laptop and cutting machine and still get a bit of extra power gain going into the battery while I am doing that production function. No tripping over wires either. I have some kits I cut to pack up this evening. Good thing I have an audio book to keep me from going nuts while I do that ra ther tedious work. I do hzve to stay looking at what I am doing so audio books are a good solution for making the time more pleasant. Author J AJance, part of a series set in the Sedona area of Arizona. She is a popular author who winters in Arizona and spends the summers in the Seattle metro area but not in the city itself.

Free power pole sounds worthwhile! Something to think about there. I'll look for J. Ajance books.

Today.. got up early. Cold but some sunshine! I took some boxes out of the cargo trailer to sort through in the travel trailer.

I think I've seen these books before: JA Jance...

The Joanna Brady Mysteries series. 19 books, so far.

Right series? Starts with "Desert Heat" . . . sounds like Arizona to me.
That is an excellent one of her series to start with:) it is primarily set in the region around Bisbee Arizona.

There are four series in all. Once in a while  she intermingles characters from one series into adventures in another. i have gone to one of her book reading events in Seattle. My worksop mate friend in Seatlle likes the Joanna Brady series best followed by the Beaumont series that are mostly set in the Seattle region.

Of course if you have never read any of the series from Tony Hillerman set in the southwest then put those on your reading list as well. He has passed away now but his daughter Anne Hillerman has of course with his blessing continued on erting new books for the series.

On the subject of mystery writers whoose children have picked up thevreins from a parent when Dick Francis got older he brought his son Felix in as aa co-author. Not quite the same qualities as his father but he is doing a more than cedible job with the new novels he is writing.

In recentnyears I had mostly switched to E books as I could no longer see the lines of text in paperbacks. But this lastbweek I was very pleasantly surprised to find out my vision has changed now to where uI can once again read the text in a paperback. It is a rather wacky vision issue, somevretinal damage led to macular puckering. I have had 3 srgeries to arrest it. But arrest does not mean no changes. Each eye has a warp in the vision and the warping is a mirror off direction to the other eye. At the moment they seem to have feached a balance of eawave cancellation in my brain adaptation. So now the lines of gext look relatively straight and legible. I hope that change is long lasting!

So cold.. and this morning the TT heater would not turn on due, I think, to settling of the trailer .. it is no longer balanced. Not a happy day for me when I'm cold and have to call for a maintenance man to invade my quiet space.. feeling unhappy about it but I know there are many worse problems in the world. My temporary solution is to get into my van and drive.. ah, warmth!! High on my list of human needs. .. on cold days.

If they are paying your electric or it is a flat rate you can usually run 3 of the 1500 watt ceramic heaters that are as little as $15 each. We run 3 in our 28’ motor home on different circuits so we don’t overload the circuit breakers on low in 30 degree weather and haven’t use the big heater in years.

Travelaround, if you were free to head south for a little while to get into warme weather where would you go?

(I know you need to stick aroun a while longer because of the situation with your land. )

I'd go sight-seeing in Southern California for a while because I have a California blog I'd like to write more on.. mainly about travel experiences in small towns or rural areas. Also my sister lives in El Cajon... I've never been to her home there. Would love to see Salvation Mountain which I heard was closed due to covid.  Then to Arizona and eventually to the Texas gulf coast... would like to see Rockport again.

I noticed my mobile home ruins have been raked a bit and heavy metal objects removed from the interior. I also noticed on my drive around the neighborhood this morning that others haven't had this done. I wonder if this is because I was one of the first to apply, or were scavengers looking for my secret pile of gold bricks? I can think of only a few things they might have found. In case they did that I'd like to thank them for saving me the trouble.

It is likely faster to cleanup a site where there was a mobile home than where there was a house on a slab foundation. Should not take them too long to get it done.

Too bad you dont habve a motion detecting wildlife camera set up there. You could catch them in the acct. But label it as being do not dis
