you do know the liner is just a second gelcoat sprayed in side the other one to give you a smo0th surface like the outside of the high top. and they will n ot be able to put wood in the side if you get the windows because the sides would be to thick . and if your top is not smooth on the side and has a small lip running down the side the windows will not seal and you will get a small leak at the lip. so have them address this I did not and had to take my windows out and fix them my self.  but they are real nice people and will work  to make you happy. I was pleased with them.

ColoRockiesFan, Congratulations! It is a hard decision. I added wood to the interior sides just in case I want cabinets someday. I didn't get the windows because I already have plenty of them, but if you don't, they will be awesome. When will you get yours? Will you pick it up or get it shipped? I'm getting mine installed the end of October.

Thanks! I debated endlessly and decided to go without the additional wood support and add the liner. It's one or more less thing I need to deal with. Since I'm going to be using the van as a weekend/vacation van, I really don't need the extra shelves or storage (I hope). I had a 19' trailer several years ago and didn't fill up even a 4th of the storage space.

I have plenty of windows but really wanted the ones on top for extra ventilation with bug screens ...

I am having the top shipped to PA for installation. I expect it ready at the end of October or early November.

SO excited! Can't wait!!

Thanks! I will ask them to completely seal the windows.

Sounds like we will be getting our tops about the same time! How did you find someone to install it?

Someone (vtwinkicker) on this forum suggested TCI Mobility in PA so I called and spoke with them. They are happy to install the top for me. I almost bought one of their 24" tops but decided that I wanted the 20" and windows so went with Fiberine.

They are extremely nice and very flexible. They also offer a steel roll cage (custom made) placed inside their tops. I was so tempted!

They can do the install of the top in one day. If you add the roll cage it takes 3 days.

Wow! Great information- a steel roll cage would be a natural extension safety add, but maybe heavy. It might also take up too much of the precious head room.

One thing I learned from 44 years of motorcycling is to Always protect your coconut resting between your shoulders. You rarely ever have any occurrences of head trauma, but all it takes is a glance to put you in a comma for weeks. A roll cage sounds safer than an OEM steel top too. Safety First!  :D

True, but it's not an option where I'm getting my high top done.
