living in a car in a small city

Thank you for linking to that blog. I had read it before, years ago, but it is good for encouragement that this is actually doable.

living in a car in a small city

I said small city, not small town. Approximately 28,000 people. It also has a large college so no, not everyone knows everyone. <b> I </b> certainly don't know any of them. I don't have any friends who live in town so that is not an option either. I want to completely remove the back seat...

living in a car in a small city

I am having a lot of trouble trying to remove the back seat. The bolts are stuck and it is very frustrating. I do like the idea of tinting the windows as dark as is legally allowed.

How do I find BLM land? Where is your favorite and why?

Anyone have any tips for finding free land on the east coast? Aside from national forests, I can't figure anything out.

    old article: Bed plans

This is pretty much the idea I had for my car, except I haven't figured out how to move the back seat yet. Very neat.

living in a car in a small city

I have been a member of the site for years, but been away for a while so I thought I would do another introductory post. I am 26, I live in south Georgia. I am thinking about moving into my car, a 1997 Ford Thunderbird. I'd love a van but I can't afford one right now. I almost have a part...

    Moving out, moving on.

Hi! Welcome to the forums. I'm located about an hour north of you. Unfortunately I don't have any real-world experience with the mobile life yet, so I can't really offer any advice.

    Bed platform - plywood thickness?

Just as an aside, if you are worried about VOCs, hardboard/masonite is frequently made without any resin. Just wood fibers steam compressed. It is quite strong as well.

    Cozy Van

Your carpet job looks nice, although I would worry a bit about the hammock falling.<div><br></div><div>Tying it to a seat belt is a great idea, not too sure about using a handhold as the other anchor. If you can, I would also tie that end to a seat belt, and failing that, the metal frame of the...

    Moultrie solar panel?

Yes, mine too. I meant comparatively small. I'm not powering a microwave, lights, etc.

    Kayaks

I've got a rigid sit-on-top one seater. Can't recall the&nbsp;manufacturer&nbsp;at the moment, I'll check on that tomorrow afternoon. It needs a bit of work on the storage compartments, but it handles well enough for me.

    Moultrie solar panel?

    Thank you, I'd thought it was very small, but I have small needs (only a cell phone charger and laptop charger).&nbsp;

    Moultrie solar panel?

<div>I was browsing around on walmart.com, looking for a few things, when I came across this. I do not understand very much about solar power, batteries, and the like, so I would like to know if this would work to charge a battery or not.</div><div><br></div><a...
