    Saying Good Bye To Bindi

I'm sorry you had to suddenly part ways. I've seen this from the other side of things and if it's any consolation to you. You did a great thing by giving Bindi a chance, and I don't think I'd be handling this any better were I in your place.

Chewing on things that shouldn't be chewed on

In addition to all the forms of enrichment you're already doing, as well as some of the other suggestions here.  Use food puzzles. I would feed him his meals in them first so you can see/help him learn how to use them. Then as a treat you can start putting high value treats inside and then...

    Foxtails

If you can afford it, I highly recommend these. I've lived in areas with both foxtails and goat head thorns; These boots have been an absolute lifesaver as well as $$$ saver. They also did great at keep my girl's pads from burning on really hot (sidewalk, asphalt) days...

Not Constantinople, right? Good luck on the adoption :-)

    Dog breed ideas?

Ok, if it's any consolation. The Res dogs that I've worked with are far more intelligent than most of the mutts on average.  Most are of a decent size too.

    Dog breed ideas?

No worries Cyndi. I'm aware of the "breed". My Navajo friends think it's funny, they point to random dogs wandering the res as Indian dogs.

    Dog breed ideas?

Ok Kitt. I think our program may be of help to you along with the self training you wish to do. Also your timetable may lend itself to finding (potentially) the right dog. This would most likely be a mutt, but there's a chance of a pure breed as well. You mentioned something about wanting an...

    Pit bullsv& Other Aggressive Breeds

I was referring to this thread as a whole, nor was I picking sides. My post here was a public admission to a friend that I'd read it despite her warnings not to.

    Dog breed ideas?

Oh I meant that I'm waiting on details about a program which the organization I'm employed by provides. This program may be of help in your search. Once I have those details I'll see if the info you've provided here is a match. I'll be in touch to let you know either way.

    Tuna recall

Much like any Asian restaurants in a small town, or Diarrhea Dragon's as I've once read.

    Dog breed ideas?

Has there been any movement on this since you first posted? I'm not sure (yet) if what I'm thinking of will help you out. I'm still waiting on a few more details but wanted to reach out to at least find out if you've resolved this or not. Steve

It's nice to be missed :). Glad to hear everything has turned out well. Not sure if you follow my blog or not. If you do then you know where I work at now, so feel free to hit me up directly about any dog issues. I have a wealth of information at my fingertips. Steve

    Tuna recall

I've switched to the Costco Kirkland brand of skipjack tuna. It's sustainable and not fished for in the way the major brands are which is doing harm. I'm real picky about my tuna and was impressed with the taste and consistency of the product.

    Dog Breed Restrictions

The legal term is "breed discrimination" and it's been beaten in a couple of the states that actually tried to make it a law.

? for those experienced with dog training

Hi Karl, Forgive me for skipping over all the four pages of this thread, but have you resolved this issue with your girl? If not, please contact me directly. I may be able to help, but have a few questions first. Thanks Steve

Karen you're going to laugh at me for this, but ... you were absolutely right! I shouldn't have bothered to read this thread. It definitely turned my stomach more than a few times.

    BEANS..BEANS..THE MUSICAL FRUIT!

They're almost sweet, with the same texture as pinto beans. They also don't take long to cook from being dry.  I like to add a small can of diced green chiles (mild or hot) to my black beans to give them a little kick. Most markets carry them, Hatch or Ortega brand.

    BEANS..BEANS..THE MUSICAL FRUIT!

Fellow bean lover here. The ones I really love and buy whenever I find them are anasazi beans.  You can order and have them shipped from the supplier, but the cost of shipping is more than the product itself. It's not worth going that route. I get lucky and find them in random markets from time...
