Take a week off from work and my brain forgot part of my new setup for cutting kits. I need to let the software program fully load into the cutting machine before I push go! My laptop is getting system interrupts because it wants me to do updates however as I do not have it online every week to get them Windows will not accept that I put those updates onto manual instead of auto updates, I will have to do more research to get it to quit that nonsense so I can process my work faster.

My own memory bank is running slower too. My brain gets better blood flow better in cold weather than in the heat waves. Not much hope for updating a nearly 75 year old memory chip, no replacement part available. There is a sort of substitute, I need to get another pad of sticky notes, I ran out the other day and forgot to put them on my shopping list. Hopeless situation🤣

Today I was cutting snowflakes. It is a larger sized cutting file as the pattern is fairly intricate. And all those curves are a very complex sets of tiny moves in the XY axis data points in machine code. Long straight lines are very simple data points in machine code. But not circles
and arcs. Fortunately the software writes the codes.

I am already ready for decorating my trailer! I picked up my Amazon order of a USB bug zapper. It has color changing LED lights in it. A perfect table top Christmas tree for my nomadic life!

From Vegas on south, it's hot. They are cancelling Christmas this year for Santa's safety. Maybe Santa should use a Roman chariot with wheels.

Milton and Paradise Lost.

So I'm on the main 2-lane between the province capital and a popular "remote" beach town. Everybody travels by motorcycle, traffic lanes optional ;) The land slopes down really steep on the side of the road, and there are stairs and dirt paths and people live down there. In the middle of banana trees. A lot of it looks pretty busted up. It feels weird playing tourist in the middle of so much poverty, but whats the alternative, stay in an all inclusive resort? Blecch. These people are hustlers ( in a good way) I will give them that, A+ for initiative...

Used to be (years ago) Windows wouldnt let you do that. I remember lots of people cussing about work interruptions. Hopefully they have improved since then!

Jet Fuel is Kerosene which can be used in Diesels it may end the need for EVs!
⛽
US scientists turn waste streams into jet fuel that reduces carbon emissions by up to 70%

Scientists in the United States have developed a new method that uses methane-assisted anaerobic digestion (MAAD) technology to convert high-strength organic wastewater into volatile fatty acids, which can be upgraded to sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
Scientists at the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Argonne National Laboratory claimed that the cost-competitive SAF could reduce greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) in the aviation industry by up to 70%.
Argonne laboratory’s life cycle and techno-economic models were used to analyze environmental impacts and economic viability of the SAF, according to researchers.

Is jet fuel the same as diesel fuel?

Jet fuel, on the other hand, is kerosene (other than some rare military jet fuels). It's a bit lighter than pump diesel, doesn't freeze in the extreme cold, but otherwise works fine as a direct replacement.Oct 28, 2021

Yes; I’m glad for the disclaimer “other than some rare military jet fuels”.
When I was in,
JP -7 was almost basically kerosene & specifically used in the SR-71 when I was working with them at Beale back in the day.

JP - 4 on the other hand was much more flammable than JP-7.
Not used anymore I guess due to it’s toxicity
(Yep, sniffin toxic jet fuel and being around radiation bombs brought out the best in me)😂

luv me sum rads

EV…Electric Vehicle production is not going away because of a method change for creating a variation in carbon based fuels.

LOL, I am not one to criticize the thinking of the man who strapped down the roof of his house if you ever saw all the tie downs and strapping I add to my hubstyle screen room when I set it up for the winter season in Quartzsite. It would not last in a hurricane but it has managed to survive direct hits from big dust devils. But despite the extra strapping my screen room will still die from the strong UV damage to the fabric in just a couple of years.

It’s going viral:

Obviously we’ll need an update……
It is intriguing to see if the engineering holds it all together.
Apparently there have been tornadoes . That might help keep the roof on. Won't do anything if it throws those vehicles onto the house. I just hope they aren't planning on staying inside. Good luck and I pray everyone stays safe.

It's always something lol.

Still awaiting the results of the strapped down house but did find a pre Milton YT of the home owner in Orlando.

Edit: here’s recent update

Halloween decorations ghost story tale.

I am camped near a small town and often go there a couple of times a week to drop mail into the USPS letter box. Some times on mornings I might get a cofffee or breakfast at Wendy’s which is typically very busy. But yesterday it was a ghost town, only one other customer besides me. The parking lot surprisingly was pretty much empty except for employee cars in the back of the lot. But the little cafe next door had an unusually large amount of cars in their parking lot.

When I walked up to the entry door at Wendy’s there was plastic tape in an X over the glass. More of it was on the windows and other doors. My first thought was there must have been a break-in or construction repairs going on and the business was closed. No, turns out there were small Halloween graphics on that tape but you had to be a couple of inches from it to see it was for Halloween.
I went to the counter and asked the counter person “Have you noticed a sudden drop off in business?” She said yes. I explained why but she did not get it so I had her follow me outside and explained when customers drove up it looked like the business was closed for repairs. She finally got it and started pulling that tape down. Those cheap and easy to put up Halloween decorations sure cost that business a lot of money! 🎃

This house that was strapped down like the one previous post in Orlando with Milton did not survive Hurricane Helene at all as only the concrete foundation pad remains.
