I really want to be able to visit the WRTR but have need a bit more info. I’m not sure I’ll be able to get out there in time anyway as I’m stuck renovating a rental property but we shall see.

I need to know where and how far away I need to leave my RV with a man aboard. I can drive in daily with my UTV but have to put John somewhere.

I’m unfamiliar with that area. Will I be able to find a place 1/4 mile away? Is that sufficient or do I need to park him further away?

totally unhelpful comment follows, but it struck me as funny:

too bad there is not a "partner daycare" available for the WRTR...oh, wait, wouldn't that be the nearest bar?

but i realize you are talking about parking your rig. is there actually a minimum feet closeness rule for men?

Hi Cam! There WRTR Facebook page explains all this, but in a nutshell, Suanne has created camps for different like. IE-artist camp; LGBTQ camp, camp with husbands etc.

So yes, you can attend with your husband and still be close enough to attend the activities.

Hope to see you soon!!

I would just park the rv where I wanted it and he could occupy himself with chores or hobbies inside while I’m at the WRTR.  Wouldn’t hurt a thing.

Except that some of the women really get upset if they know men are around. Which is why Suanne has taken that into consideration.
We all know you can't just dump your husband somewhere along the way, but the solo women can be a little tough on the guys.

Almost there I didn’t get a link

Women who have male travel mates have a neighborhood camp at the WRTR called "Allies Camp." It's about 1/3 mile from the Main Meeting Circle. I hope you make it Cammalu.

Thanks, I got there.

Work obligations are going to keep me from attending the whole thing. I have to be in Sebastopol, CA on January 7 for a meeting! But I am planning on being there Jan 4th and 5th. Very exciting to me. I will be in the general area a few days before. I am leaving Michigan on December 28.

I am so excited! My first trip in my van :) Normally when I do this trip, I have to make hotel reservations on the way which has proved to be stressful when plans change. Last time I remember just crying because I was stuck in a traffic jam near Tulsa and wasnt sure I would make it to Oklahoma city at a reasonable time. The time before that it was a snowstorm in WY that prevented me from making it to the hotel I reserved in Salt Lake City. This time, I can just pull over whenever I am ready. I can even pull into a rest area for just a nap in the middle of the day if I want to!

I can't wait to meet you guys!
