Is that fire burning now, Blanch? Anywhere near Yosemite again if it is?

This was above Bridgeport California and the gal in the gas station seemed to think the smoke was from Yosemite. ☹️

Thanks, Blanch. Hope that is all over with and cleared out pretty soon. I'll be in that area in Sept. and hoping for no fire and smoke.

Crescent City California.
This is where I lived for 12 years and launched from July 2016. It is where the redwoods meet the sea. Such a beautiful place. It is nice to visit and appreciate the beauty of a place that was once home.

A lot of effort went into seeing this tree in person so thought I would post a photo of it. My granddaughter photo bombing with her phone.

Sometimes, the sun and clouds align to form magical colors and shapes, that dazzle and flow majestically.

This morning's Alabama Hills sunrise (BLM land just west of Lone Pine, CA off the Mt. Whitney Portal Rd.) ...

First pic, about 15 minutes before sunrise, looking west toward the escarpment of the eastern Sierras in the background, and the humungous, gigantic granite outcroppings of the Alabama Hills in front:

Second pic, first rays of light on the Sierras:

Third pic, framed by my door just after the first rays of sun hit my car:

Forth pic, for a sense of scale, here is a magnified photo of an RV (white speck) in the lower left which is at the lower left of the furthest granite outcropping in the first and third pic above:
