An Anhinga drying her wings. Jacksonville FL.

I'm hangin' in TorC, New Mexico and happened to stop near this new dog park. There was this huge Great Dane and a couple of other dogs frolicking and there was this tiny, 2 or 3 month old Dachsund puppy trying to stay out of their way.

I tried to get a pic of the pup while it was right next to the Dane but they were moving around too much. The park has a nice touch with numerous hydrants for the boys to hose down.

What a cool looking place ... kinda looks like the tufa formations around Mono Lake ... gunna make a note in my little book of "gotta-go-to" places!  :)

The road in was a bitch when pulling my travel trailer. It wasn’t so bad with just my truck. I have the whole place to myself, no one else camped here. It is amazing!!!

as a side note on the Trona pinnacles. once a year usually in the fall they flood part of the Searles dry lake and allow the public to collect Pink Halite Crystals. there is a nominal fee. here's a link to the "Searles Lake Gem and Mineral Society" they put on the event,

Battle of Camden SC National Historic Landmark, near Columbia SC:

Despite its importance in the history of the American Revolutionary War, it's just a pull-off on the side of the road, with some hiking paths and a couple stone markers.
