I'm finding I'm not a fan of "the South". Always hear how polite everyone is, but I've been called more names here and treated more shabbily than any other place I've been.
I have had the opposite reaction from "the South" and I absolutely love it here! People have gone out of their way to be nice and helpful to me but this didn't happen until I hit the Georgia line. I found Virgina to be less than polite. I guess it depends on where you go. Currently in Alabama and its a good place to be for me.
