Travelling up the Pacific coast from Phoenix Arizona to Cape Lookout Oregon in my windowless Ford Transit cargo van, should we expect difficulty finding places to free camp for sleeping? We're planning to take about 5 days and would only stay for about 7 to 8 hours for sleeping and then moving along. Anyone have tips and suggestions.

I've heard those areas are quite accepting of travelers. As long as you pick well populated areas with low surveillance you should be good. Keeping clean and quiet makes for a smooth trip I'm sure!

I have the Free Campsites app, but so far it doesn't seem to have many options in the places that we have looked. I honestly don't really think that we will have a problem, but my lady is more of a planner, and I'm more of the adventurous type. The van is just a plain white cargo van with blackout curtains behind the seats so I think we won't be very obvious with careful parking, and we're not going to be setting up anything outside.

I've been doing some reading and have come across some useful information, but thought that reaching out to the community might get me more information about the specific areas that we will be traveling through.

By the way the plan is to take 5 days to get to the destination of Cape Lookout where we have camping reservations.
