Does anyone have any experience with one of these?

I love a campfire at night to wind down with, but I'm always having to move my seat as it seems I attract the smoke no matter where I sit. All my dirty clothes smell like they've been salvaged from a burning building.  This pit, is pricey, but if it works and last more than a season than I can justify its hefty price tag. Does anyone have one of these? Is it a quality item? The Amazon reviews all appear to be from people who recently purchased it.

I got one for a friend for 30 dollars at a used appliance store a stainless washing machine drum that's what it is the same thing just a lot less money
PS you can also find these at the Quartzite market for 50-60 dollars.

Thanks truck camper. I'll be on the lookout for one then.

The pit in the ad is more than a washing tub. It creates a second burn that reduces the smoke.

Go to a college town after spring finals and there are lots of items thrown into and against trash dumpsters. Nothing wrong with them, the kids just don't want to haul it home. Is Quartzsite like that when it starts to warm?

I have the backpacking/camping version for cooking and love it. However, I can't say much about the campfire pit.

I recently purchased the backpacking version but haven't used it yet. I'd like to cut out using the tiny cylinders when hiking and even thought it might come in handy when living in my Element.
