I thought this was going to be about the return of the shorty.

Good overview though.

I hadn't noticed the Ram van - looks interesting but it's built by Fiat in Turkey. I don't know if that's a bad thing or not, I'd have to research.

The Chevy is a rebadged Nissan. Worth a look to see if you can get a better deal through them.

The small Transit is also (or at least it was) built in Turkey, too.

i can almost stand in the nissan...
(not really, but it tall)

My sprinter gets about the same, or almost the same mileage as those 4 little vans, and it has about as much cargo volume as all 4 of them put together. Too small! I love being able to stand up and stretch. But, they're much easier to park.

What are maintenance costs (parts/labor) like on the Sprinter?

I drove a 2012 Sprinter for work, for 2 years, and it seemed like a service light of some sort was always coming on, requiring an expensive trip to the Mercedes dealer.
Our fleet got 17.2 mpg on the highway.
I'll say this for the Sprinter, though. They're super fast and comfy. :)
