Pippin.jpg

Here's my buddy Pippin all strapped in for the road. Sorry he's upside down. Something must be wrong with how my PC is interfacing with CRVL.

Pippin shows up just fine when you click on the image, he looks ready to roll!

VanLady, yes, I do intend to get a dog... eventually. Life w/o a dog seems kind of empty.

And I discovered that I kind of depend on their senses, even at home. If I hear an odd sound, I look at the dog. If she just yawns and rolls onto her side, I don't worry. But if she's standing up, alert, listening with nose raised, I pay attention. And when the CATS start pacing and growling, I know something is REALLY wrong, like coyotes in the front yard.

This is Joker and Kahlua. Kahlua is the one that ain't right. Joker is Einstein on four legs. He is the smartest cat I ever met.

Waldenbound, it would probably be a good idea if your smart Einstein and my smart Weasel don't meet... unless together they can come up with an idea to multiply solar power.

OTOH, your Kahlua and my Lacie (holding paws for a mental power connection) might be able to learn something from goldfish.

My current pet lacks some of the warmth and playfulness that I would prefer, but on the other hand, is nearly perfect for someone who doesn't want to put in a lot of time or spend a lot of money.

Although my pet seems to be limited to only one command, it has "stay" down pat.

img-2262.jpgHubby got me my new baby "Lucy" since I'll be alone a fair amount of time. She's a poodle mix of some sort and he'll pick her up for me this weekend.  I'm in love already.

Buddy, in the first picture lived for 22 years, a great cat and companion.

Rowdy is in the second. We found her at about 2 weeks old and nursed her into adulthood, her mother had been run over. She lives up to her name.

Aawwww, Rob and Sternwake, they're so cute! It's amazing how we just fall head over heels in love with our animals. We had a Buddy, but he is too big and feisty to adapt to living in a van. #3 son has him. It's too quiet around here without the dogs and cat. I'm just not looking forward to house training. Between four kids and the fact that I'm the only disciplinarian around here for humans and animals, I always get training duty. Now it's gonna be just me and Baby Lucy.

Not trainin' no mo' husbands, either. The last one up and died on me and this one be flyin' the coop at my behest. Animals are a damn sight easier.

Very cute! Do you intent to keep her clipped on the road? Just curious.

They won't groom any dogs until they are 10 weeks old. She will get groomed then. I don't clip then myself, but I keep the fur way short all year except for the winter. Then they get wild and wooly. None of those frou-frou cuts for my dogs, not even when they were purebreds.
