That would depend on the post office that delivers to that area.

Most of of the post offices still offer really rural delivery but if you're not there to receive the mail all the time then you want to have the mail delivered to a mail forwarding service anyways. You need someone that will send the mail to you when you tell them where you are.

Also, more importantly with a piece of land in that price range, is to check to see whether you can actually live on the land. Some land is landlocked and won't be available for a mailing address no matter what.

Land comes with all kinds of title restrictions on it and you absolutely owe it to yourself to make sure that you know exactly what they are and how they'll impact whatever plans you make for using the land.

Ive done many hours of research, and talked to county planning and zoning departments all over AZ over the last 2 years. We were planning on buying land when we came here to use as a home base. Navajo county is not a good place unless you plan to build.

In Navajo County, if you plan on using an RV, you can stay on a parcel for no more than 30 days in a calendar year with or without a septic system.
A special use permit allows 6 months with an approved septic system.
If you have a bulding permit to build a primary structure, you can get a special use permit for one year as long as an approved septic is installed.

We decided to stay away from Navajo county because of these ordinances.

Dont listen to realtors, or the people selling the land directly. They will most likely tell you what you want to hear just to sell their land. Call the county! Ask lots of questions.

The most rv friendly county is AZ is Apache County. If you have a septic system, you can live full time in an rv. Without a septic, you can stay 30 days. They told me there was no written code that said how long you had to leave after the 30 days and that they dont enforce the 30 day anyways. They have the attitude that its your land to use as you see fit. But I would still call the county and get your answers directly from them. Laws are always changing. Its possible you will get different answers that I got depending on who you talk to. I even talked to people in the Concho area that have lived in rv's for years with no septic. We spent a week there last month driving around and looking at property and you can see that there is a lot of full time rv's parked on land. Do your due diligence so you dont end up with land or a payment on something you cant use. Good luck.

I dont plan on staying on it for more than 30 days I was just asking if this would qualify me for residency in Arizona just owning property I talked to the sales agent and he said I could stay on the property in an rv without septic for 30 days I dont plan on making this my perminanet residence just to gain residence in Arizona they said there is no time requirements to build on the lot I am just trying to find out and ask questions so I am better informed I want to travel alot I live in Pennsylvania now and plan on spending most of my time out west during the winter and maybe some back east during the spring and summer months just trying to find out information I thank you for your response to my question.

Most of the counties here will assign an address when you apply for a building permit. Some allow an address without building. I originally thought it was the Post Office that assigns the address, but I was wrong. Being as We were going to purchase in Apache County, that was the only one I really checked into. They will assign the address without a building permit. I think it was a $25 fee. Navajo Im not sure about. Thats one of the things you would want to ask the county. I dont believe just owning property would qualify for residency.
