Quartzsite RTR weather/temperatures ??

<span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif; font-size: small;">Hey everyone<img src="/images/boards/smilies/wave.gif" alt="" align="absmiddle" border="0" /><br /><br />I am interested in goin' the RTR in Jan'13 but I am curious about the weather/climate conditions . I haven't been there before and i'm from Colorado and used to bitter cold,snow. I understand that it's desert type of area but just want to know what to expect/plan for. I am still working on my "main" ride for when I head out "full-time", but in the meanwhile I will have my regular van at that time. I am only able to stay approx. a week or so. Any help and/or comments would be appreciated !! Hi Randy, I only stay about a week or so there as well and you can pack a lot of experience into that long...<br /><br />Someone else will chime in and tell you when the big tent event happens but if you want to go to that, you can time your visit to do that as well...<br /><br />The one thing I can tell you for sure is it will be windy....in the night it is kinda cool but not bad and the days are usually sunny and warm in the sun...I look for shade during the days.<br /><br />Here is a site to check out for climate....<br /><br />http://www.desertusa.com/Cities/az/quartzsite.html<br /><br />Hope to meet you there...<br />Bri

Hi Randy, here is the page from the website that gives the details on RTR:<br />http://cheapgreenrvliving.com/Rendezvous.html<br /><br />If you look at the pictures, in many of them people are bundled up in coats and hats, and in some of them we are in short-sleeves. The desert can be surprisingly cold in January, or it can be warm and pleasant. So my advice is to come ready for anything!! Overnight lows can be in the 20s or in the 40s. I would expect at least one windstorm (50 mph gusts) while we are there. Rain is always a possibility in the desert in the winter.<br /><br />The main thing is come ready to have FUN and meet the NICEST people anywhere. Both of those are GUARANTEED!! Bob
