Let's leave it open...........Remodeling to accommodate a Diesel heater install.....in-progress in the tall transit

"Film at Eleven"....................

Arrrrrr mateys,,

Thar be 80's in the air next Sat and Sun..... first time since???? November sometime?

I’m back in Utah just hoping it doesn’t freeze to hard at night and hits 60 degrees during the day by next week! Lol!!! Roads were clear and dry day before yesterday in Flagstaff but you couldn’t see the guard rails under the plowed snow on the side of the road! Safe travels!

Wind, wind, and more wind in the forecast for Yuma. It is wearing on my nerves. I will hang around in Yuma until some packages arrive later this week then if the wind is not gone head north on Hwy 95. Hopefully the clouds in Quartzsite will be gone by then.

It is windy in the southwest many days, one reason we have gotten something with a little more living space so we can stay comfortably inside on windy days.

This year was "punishment"....................(Yellowstone series reference)

I look back at VanAid photos and see how COLD and WINDY it was...........Damn..............Arrrrrrrrrgh !

For sure the weather was better at the 2022 Van Aid.

We did have a number of walloping wind events upwards of 50-60mph at La Posa South Pirate Camp the previous two years as well as plentiful dust devils. But this year there is hardly any break time between the storm fronts.

Back at LaPosa South... while away I didn't do a damn thing at Van Aid.. ;) I spent a some time with a few Trek friends and in that time away, my big gen died and then a few days ago, my little generator also gave up... but ... yesterday, I got the new solar/charge/invert all-in-one, went to go get propane and was the 100th customer of the day winner!! that netted me a couple of $5 off coupons, and a pic on their fb page... when I got back to camp I hurriedly assembled the battery and connected the inverter... I parked next to Doug, knowing I was going to move on Wed to get welding done, and he offered to plug into his generator for a wee boost.... so.. a trifecta yesterday... this morning I hooked up the panels and am getting 280 watts with clouds....

Van Aid was...... an experience... but I suppose mine was unique in varied ways.. :) I learned much. Doug was out-f'n-straight the entire time and managed to not have his head explode... although I think it got close... :p

Looks like the HOWA spring BYOV build in Pahrump is now on hold pending the ability to obtain liability insurance. Their previous provider is no longer offering coverage in the state of Nevada. Hopefully they will soon find a new insurance provider.

Just letting Pirate Camp followers know what is going with the HOWA spring BYOV in case you get people asking for help that you might have referred to apply for that event. At least for now the application process is not open. It is a stay tuned for further updates situation.

Just so you know what I am going through ... ;)

Rain just hit here in East Valley of Phoenix. It is 8:30am. Hope it rains all day, I planned a quiet inside day.

In Yuma it started raining in the early hours of the morning and quit around 8am. A nice steady rain that soaked in, not too much or too little. Flower Power desert rain.
