Well it's time to think about another van build season in the Desert SouthWest................PIRATE CAMP

Pirate Camp is an opportunity to get Help with your Nomadic "house" build......The Help is Free......You need to buy your own supplies....

See you there.. and there, and there, and even there... ;)

I recently built my own lithium battery, I am no expert, but I can show and tell what I have learned (so far) , and I have tools and other things that can assist.

For those who dont know, abnorm is an excellent craftsman and works very hard to build things the right way...carpentry, framing, doors, windows, cabinets, plumbing, wiring, solar install, etc are all in his 'wheelhouse'.

He has many satisfied 'customers'...in fact he has even done some work for me!

Don't hesitate to set something up if you need skilled help with your build.

Thanks again abnorm....and if you will 'bump' this thread sometime in mid-September to remind me I will set it to 'sticky status' so it will show up near the top of the section.

See you around Abnorm. Your old damaged shade cloth you donated to me, which I recut to size for my travel trailer is in use today. The monsoon rains have abated for the foreseeable future so 80 degrees and sun has me making use of it once again.

Looking forward to visiting Pirate Camp and perhaps the van build too.

Early Nov…. How early? We leave KY after Halloween but aren’t fast drivers as you know. Will that be in Craggy Wash or the area before you get to Havasu coming from Q? Looking forward to seeing y’all and I want to see any new treasures Paulette has come up with.

Too hot in Q before mid to late November if you don't have AC.

Havasu is definitely hot! The state park south of town used to have a substantial discount rate before the first of the year as well as great hot showers because of lack of hot weather visitors.

Havasu is the "last chance" supply for Q.....Home Depot....Lowes.....Hobby Lobby....."The Land of Plenty"

Last year Maki located a Metal Jobber there selling long Aluminum extrusions for my roof racks

I don't have a favorite LHC build site.....Craggy Wash is my own personal Mouseagedon !

Once we're in Q we rely on the Blythe or Parker Ace Hardware and Q resources...........................

AND when it's cold if we go to Blythe we stop and see the Citrus lady......Pick-your-own.....Pay-by-the-bucket

Lake Havasu is not exactly the last chance for a Home Depot.

If you head to Los Algodones for fun or medical needs you can also stop in at the Home Depot in Yuma AZ on that trip.

Should you be going to pick up solar panels from San Tan near Phoenix you can combine that trip with visits to the city of Phoenix Home Depots.
