time of day it starts?
We will gather with tables/chairs etc around the fire pit on the north end of the notwash near that pile of firewood, anytime you are ready really. Weather looks great at this point.

Chow down at 4pm. You bring your chair, plate and utensils and a kick *** appetite

We will need tables.

If someone is going in to buy firewood in the next days, please pick me up a bundle as well for the pile.. cash money mahn.

I will be bringing some wood your way... your little set of wheels could provide a good wind break if needed.

Um Doug... WOW... that was absolutely the best sour dough bread I’ve ever tasted. I’ve got a couple pieces of sour dough bread from another source if anyone is interested. I was instantly spoiled so that will never touch my lips again! Haha!

..Sharon has a class C we could nose up to my land yacht... Debbie has a schoolie we could nose up to that, or my up my derrierre depending on wind direction.... ;)

My little pony and chuck wagon are too short for length and height to make wind breaks for more than a couple of seated individuals.

Right now I am free ranging out near where the Van Aid was last winter. It is peaceful. But the cell signal is not great for streaming which is likely why it is peaceful. Just the coyotes making a bit music at night.

Image attached is for Thanksgiving day weather. It is showing the likely wind strength and direction as well as temperatures. It is an hour by hour graph format.

Current as of today, Sunday, this is the long range prediction for temperature (top graph) and wind strength and direction (lower Graph). The graph is showing the wind as coming from the north.

Just remember this graph is based on long range projections. It is usually quite reliable but occasionally I have seen it revised a day or even a few hours before as to wind strength and exact direction. Mostly revisions are during the monsoon season as sudden storms come and go then.

We need to augment the fire pit... It is woefully small. I am goign to rebuild it, but... we need more rocks... so over the next few days if anyone in camp can schlepp some over to the existing pit... (where all the wood is stacked)

Also... I can toss some $$ at someone that is going to get wood.. we will need MOAR!... :D

schanks!!

Thursday afternoon forecast is now looking to be windier. Up to 22 mph gust most of the afternoon and on the cool side as well with temps in the upper mid 60s. Still a couple of days away though and things can change for the better. But at least no rain in the forecast 🌞

Well it's time to think about another van build season in the Desert SouthWest................PIRATE CAMP

Pirate Camp is an opportunity to get Help with your Nomadic "house" build......The Help is Free......You need to buy your own supplies....

The storm front is playing havoc with Thanksgiving in a lot of the Southern US for Thanksgiving.

Quartzsite is now predicted to have 25 mph gust. Going to be a good thing there are some bigger RVs around for wind blocks at dinner time.
