I'm personally going to feel sad when the last Chevy Express rolls off the assembly line. Its the last US designed and built Big-Three van to fade into the night. Everything from that point will be designed, and mostly built somewhere else.

That is how comparative advantage works in economics.

I don't care what Dodge says... that Fiat based lunch-box-on-wheels AINT NO "RAM VAN"

The "ugly bugger" makes a hellacious motorhome platform, regardless what they call it. I won't talk smack about mid-80s Ford high tops because I recognize their strengths and I respect your choice.

This makes me wish I still had my first van. It was a 1967 GMC shorty that had an actual doghouse between the two front seats, with an in line six.
 I could work on it in a rain storm and never get wet.
I had it fixed up pretty nice inside too. Yeah, I miss it.

My 67 full size Dodge van had the engine between the seats. Was a mess when it over heated and it did that a lot, whole van would fill with steam when the cap was opened. We would take 5 gallon Jerry cans of water and have to make several stops to make it over the mountains. My last summer in high school it spent a lot of time in the back row of the drive-in move theater in Long Beach CA.
