I did get in contact with  Sohi in Accord. He does not have a separate area for groups, but would just put us all in the same area. He would give us a discounted rate, but not as much  I had hoped for - $37 per night.  A bit too high...maybe "Sohi"?

Another place might be Chenango Valley State Park outside Binghamton, NY. My wife and I stayed there last year, during a dog agility competition, so I know there are groups that stay there, and the fee is relatively inexpensive for individuals....any interest?

I vote SoHi in Accord. Let's see if others are up to it, or are leaning more towards other areas. Thanks for checking on these!

So Hi looks nice, but a bit pricey for most budgets.

Last weekend, I spent a night in Gannett Hill Park, just west of Canandaigua Lake , I think the prettiest of the Finger Lakes.  Electric sites are just $20 a night, non-electric sites are $15, and are VERY nice:

I wouldn't mind going back there!

I'll be travelling from Illinois to Massachusetts, probably in late August, but I could change the timing. I've made this trip a couple of times. I like to avoid the interstates, but that's not a must, and take US 6 until I get to NE Pennsylvania, then swing up through the Catskills and on into Massachusetts. But I'd be happy to vary the route if there were a meet-up to drop in on along the way.
