"Surfing is a Human Right....."
Hmmm......   I missed that one last time I read the Bill of Rights and the Constitution.
But, if The Little Man With Bad Hair wants to make a surfing mecca, have at it.  But, maybe he's trying to steal our top secret surfing technology to improve his Navy?

Well, the UN has a somewhat more expansive definition than we do in their Universal Declaration of Human Rights, but I didn't see surfing in any of their 30 articles, either.

Maybe Article 24, which says we have a right to rest and leisure and paid holidays covers it?

Regards
John

I think it's much more serious/insidious than that. I'm talking about new, hi-tech, amphibious landing technology (with the requisite training) that he hopes to develop. ..Willy.

Yeah, China has had some contests in recent years. That area can suffer from island shadowing and not a great distance for swells to form, so often swell making conditions are also present at the coastline, making for poor conditions

All east coasts can suffer from long Flat spells and then intense but short live periods of swell, especially when the Tropics become active.

As far as a surf destination, it is a Novelty. Surfing is an incredible freedom and that is not something I think of when I hear 'North Korea'

I'f I am spending coin on a Surf trip, I'll go somewhere where groundswell massages the coastlines often. Indonesia is pretty much a dream regarding absolute perfection.
