Hi everyone,
I'm new here but not new to RV'ing....I'm a jack of all trades and a master of a few...lol...I really enjoy these articles here and your sincerity ....Looks like a wonderful collection of people here.
I have lived the minimalist lifestyle for 35 years off and on..Sometimes very hard and others easy as can be...I have learned alot...  ..If i can help anyone here, just drop me a line....... I now live in New Mexico, in a 32 foot pull behind, with an 18 foot slide...My full time home...Got to get some sleep now....Its been a pleasure reading your posts......Dragon :)

Welcome to the CRVL Forums   :)

I'm sure with your experience that you have a lot to offer.  Do you travel much or stay in one place ?

I'm in SW Colorado, off and on for 7 years. This is some great country, hopefully will run into you at some point. Welcome!

Thanks very much for your kind words...I too know how tough it is to live on a fixed income...I am on SSI...$1000.00 a month....But here in New Mexico it seems to go further....My fixed bills are $400 a month...(rent--electric--car insurance--internet--phone--gas-and 20 a month for Propane on average)-Which leaves me with $545 for food and misalliance. I seldom eat out because I am a pretty good cook... Produce is readily available locally and from across the border with Mexico. Dental care, Glasses and drugs are inexpensive from Mexico also. Gas for my truck runs me for a whole month on one tank..Everything I love to do is within 35 miles of me...If I really need the bright lights and culture,  I can drive to Las Cruces or El Paso and get my fix..LOL
But my lifestyle is not for everyone...A lot of you have family and friends close to you and it is hard for you to leave them...But when times are hard, you have to make hard decessions...Bob is right, you have to use your fear and not let your fear use you....Dragon

Welcome dragon! Looking forward to your tips & tricks!
