Hello Ladies,
I really enjoy reading this forum and hope some day I too, may be able to attend a Women's RTR.
Want to say a little about my history and how I became a vandweller.
I'm not new to living in my vehicle as after my divorce about 26 years ago I moved into a old Ford F-150 with an old cabover camper for about 5 years.
Then, in late 2014, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and at the same time I was having serious nerve pain in arms and shoulders. Lucky enough the later was not cancer, but serious enough I had to stop working. It took back burner to the cancer but was finally diagnosed as advanced joint issues in 2016. The good news is the cancer was caught in stage one!
So down I went and then the business ....and the rest is what it is. By January 2015 I was in my 1996 Ford Explorer 2 door Sport with my 80lb Husky Malamute cross and my 9lb Chihuahua.
My adult children do not find humor in my most recent Funniest Stories around the campfire, where other then themselves, I get quite a few laughs. This last February after a week of storms straight through, I woke up about 1:30 AM during a break in the pounding rain on the rooftop, which I actually enjoy, and the pause may of been what awakened me. Anyhow, keeping in mind I slept on the back seat and even though I am short I still had to throw my legs over the top, I yawned and attempted to stretch. Yes, I was not fully awake and I did intend on going right back to sleep, but that changed in a split second because, for whatever reason, I put both my feet flat against the window and stretched. I heard glass crashing to the blacktop and sat up instantly to a beautiful, clean view and crisp audio of the raging creek I was next to. Holy cow!
