I'm new here and wanted to say hi. I am a travel blogger with a disability. I like to road trip and I'm trying to save money on hotels and know that I have a wheelchair accessible place to use the bathroom and sleep wherever I go. So I am working on getting a 25 foot mini bus with a wheelchair ramp.

I can't afford to spend a fortune on a fancy RV which would not have the features I need anyway. I want to design everything inside exactly how I need it. I would like to do boondocking and stealth camping, stay in friends' driveways etc. I have tons of questions especially surrounding parking, finding places to stay etc.

I will be blogging about the conversion process (and my travels in general)

I hope that although I am not full time, I will be welcome here. I look forward to getting to know everyone!

Hi FreeWheelinTravel and WELCOME! I wish you the best of luck on finding a great vehicle. Any plans to put some mud bogging tires on that chair of yours?(So sorry! You owe me one smack across the knees whenever we first meet!) ((Dammit! I did it again, OK 2 smacks...) Hope you chuckled a lil at that, I am still learning how to be funny and its way harder than it looks! Again, best wishes and make sure to post on the forum here when your conversion process starts, I almost went that route instead of a van, so love to see those conversions.

Thanks! My chair is powered and goes pretty well in grass, but hates the mud. I looked at vans, but space is the issue -- particularly width so I can turn around. I also hate wheelchair lifts, so have been searching the country looking for an affordable ramp bus. I found one and am now working on getting it here.

Well I hope its exactly what you looking for and the conversion go smooth. Be sure to holler on here if help is needed, lots of helpful folks here.
