Hmmm ... interesting.  I'm not sure I follow?  I think that there are some debts that MUST be entered into just because of the magnitude of the cost involved.  But, at this point in my life, I wonder if I really need the things that require that sort of commitment ... ?  Dunno.  No matter, I am free of all of that ... I live at little or no cost.  And, I LOVE it!

Still stealth "camping" at my sister's in Coeur D'Alene ...
Took a trip to city center to watch the parade and captured a few pixels ...
less than 2 minutes long ...

We'll be heading back up to The Meadows in about an hour.  It's a beautiful place along the Little North Fork of the Coeur D'Alene river, set among pine trees and tall tall grass, peppered with a myriad of wild flowers and herbs.  All free, National Forest land, no reservations, no cell service, no stress!! 14 day limit.  45 minutes from Walmart and other amenities.

Just a quick update ... not linking to the videos, but if you've got bandwidth, they are easy to find.

We're still in the north Idaho area for a few more days, then heading south and, hopefully, to better data access.  It's been non-existent here.  We can get good cell connection, 4 bars of 4G, but Verizon is rather tight fisted with data access ... less than 1kb / sec ... worse than old dialup speeds.

The trailer with sleeping pods has performed remarkably well, water tight, comfy, easy to set up ... have had quite a few folks saunter past and ask about it.  It's kind of unique, so it stands out a bit.

So, we're alive and well ... happy ... getting tan!

Hopefully, in the next 30 - 45 days, I'll be able to catch up on this thread and other goings on here at CRVL.com ... heading to La Posa LTVA by Sept 15, and staying 'til the RTR ...

Well, alrighty then ... 'nuther update.  I'm at a small pull out site on CR 48 in Leadville, CO.  FINALLY!  A campsite with good data access!   4 bars of Verizon 4G give or take depending on where I am in the campsite.  I've experienced more than 10Mb per second DL ... not sure about upload yet.

Beautiful spot ... just got here last night about 11PM , so haven't explored much, but town is close with ample gas stations and a Safeway which I've read hasn't hassled folks for staying in the parking lot over night (not going to say "alowed" ... more like "ask forgiveness rather than permission").  Well maintained dirt/gravel road into the area.  Some traffic along the road throughout the day ... eh ... not as bad as ATVs racing past.  I'll take it!  BEAUTIFUL area, about 10,000 feet in elevation, low to mid 70s during the day, low 40s / high 30s at night.  Light rain / Thunderstorms forecast through the week (8/16/2018 - already had a smattering of precipitation this afternoon (~1:00PM MDT) ... not enough to keep the dust down though - looks like more coming on radar (2:35pm MDT)).

New video update on YouTube if you're interested.  Not much content, really ... just my usual useless banter!  LOL!

Here's the link to the vid that shows set up of one pod.  The other pod is identical: Pod Setup

This was the first setup.  It'd just finished building the walls.  I was so disorganized and had to go get stuff to put it together, so, t's 11 minutes per side in this video.  We've gotten lots of practice and do them now in about 6 minutes.

Here's another link to a collection of stills that show us out camping.  I've not posted new ones in a while.   I was in a remote area without cell or Internet service ... need to do some catch up.  But, think you get the idea ... Still Photos

They basically are fold up bunks, just on the outside of the trailer.  I went the way I did because my daughter [and all her stuff] wanted to go with me and I needed the room.  Inside, bunks would have taken up walls and square footage that I needed for storage ... we both had a lot of junk to haul with us.  The trailer is 72 square feet inside, the pods add 30 more square feet and are sized to accommodate a standard twin mattress.

Let me know if it's still not clear ... maybe it's time for a followup vid ... ?

Would be great if you dedicated a video to park and setup only process. Then pack and pull out to show how it all works in maybe some sort of quick time if necessary.
But I don't see where the motorcycle fits in or the turret for the telescope, when are you going to get around to that?

I went up to Leadville and hung out with NoMad YesHappy for four days, so I figured this thread would be a suitable place to put the video.  24 minutes; about half of that is an interview and checking out the trailer. Not much of a tour, but just an independent look inside. I also do my usual introspection and appreciation of Nature. Didn't focus as much on the food as I have in the past.   I had a blast out there.
