It was pretty easy to find out whose coverage was best out west. We had plenty of time to ask people when we traveled what would and would not work in town. Also, once we left Florida, we had plenty of first hand experience with Wolf's Verizon vs. my Tmobile. The issue with only getting 500 megs of data with the subcontractors because they consider that "roaming," while I was paying for 8 gigs, was extremely annoying. The mysterious additional "Misc." charges that no one could explain pretty much made the decision for us. I don't know about anyone else out there, but when an extra $28 shows up here and an extra $30 shows up there, and no one can tell me what it is for, I'm not staying with a company.
One thing that happened was that I now have the same problem with the family text thread that Wolf has. Tmobile has issues with group threads if some of the parties are with other carriers. It breaks the thread up into individual ones. Sometimes, it can take hours for a text to actually go thru. The problem is with Tmobile, per some of the online forums I have read. At first, Tmobile said they were working on it. Now, they seem to have given up.
