Love's Travel Stop, Nevada Walmarts?

I have never had occasion to use Love's Travel Stop for overnighting. Does anyone have experience with them. Specifically I am looking at the location in Cedar City, Utah. Also it appears that none of the WalMarts in Nevada allow overnighting. Is this correct? David

Loves is extremely tolerant of overnighters.  It will be noisy.

I use Walmart parking a lot in my travels; have stayed up to three days in a few. First thing I do when planning a Walmart overnight is to check the parking restrictions. You might find this site handy:

Don't forget the casinos. Most have a drylot or at least a spot to park.

Check first. Some of the casinos are not allowing overnighters any more unless you are also patrons.

Being a patron is easy and often times comes with perks ... go in ans sign up for their members club. You may get some gambling credits and discounts on meals

Las Vegas has a city law against it, but many casinos don't mind. Elsewhere there is plenty of BLM land, rest areas, and casinos that don't mind. The Carson Nugget in downtown Carson City has an RV only lot you can walk to several museums from.

While Love's are apparently against RV/van overnighters, Flying J/Pilot welcomes them.

The next time you're at a Flying J - which now includes all the Pilot stations, pick up one of their RVrs guides. That lists all their facilities all over North America with a map and list of interstate exits/mile markers. It also shows what facilities are at each. I've only had one that I didn't care to stay at and that was because it was an older pilot with a very small parking lot - like space for 10 cars...

The other thing I use is http://www.allstays.com/c/road-guides.htm - it's under the 'drivers' section of Allstays site. I use my Rand McNally to find out which towns have W/Ms and then use Allstays to check out whether I can stay there or not and read the comments about each one. It also helps with directions so I don't have to explore the whole town looking for the store...

loves has no proublem with people staying over night i have stayed there all the way accros the us many times, the last time in april. it is much easier in a van because you don't have to park by the trucks. i always ask if they allow overnight parking, tell them i have a van and they tell me where to park. i do prefer them to flying j because the cashiers are nicer to me. Another reason is that they have some healthy food available (fruits etc). they also have booklets with all the locations, you do have to go to the truck desk for that. they also have an excellent selection of 12 volt goodies. i'm sounding a little obsessed lol but they have saved me so much money and hassel

The reason many truck stops make rv'ers leave is because they are using the truck parking and taking up the valuable truck spaces. Towns all over are putting up no truck parking signs. These truck spaces in many truck stops will fill up fast at the end of the day leaving other truck driver's to move on to the next legal truck parking if there is any to be found. Truck driver's can get huge fines if they are driving after their 11 hour drive time has expired.

There are always people overnight at the Walmart in Pahrump, NV.

In Vegas I recommend the Walmart in Henderson on E. Lake Mead pkwy. Only about 15-20 minutes from the strip if you're interested in that. The Walmart itself actually doesn't allow overnighting and has a Securitas guard patrolling to enforce it, but the Planet Fitness in the same lot does not care at all. I stayed there every weekend for a couple months recently while working nearby and never had any problems. Also had quite a few neighbors.

Flying J is definitely my favorite truck stop. Sadly, Las Vegas has a run-down little Pilot instead. The Petro is OK, except that their wi-fi stinks and the interior is too noisy. The Cracker Barrel is Henderson is next to the Silverton hotel/casino, which includes a huge outdoor sports shop with an amazing fish tank.
