She had crawled UNDER the fence, then couldn't get back in. She ran up to a lady going into her office, and tried to show her where she needed to go.
The lady took her to a vet across the street. I hit Facebook and also asked for prayer. One of my friends lives in that neighborhood. The lady saw him walking around, and decided he looked like he was looking for a dog. She went out and told him where Lacy was. My friend called me, and I went to pick her up.
She will NOT be allowed to wander like that anymore. I figured it's all fenced in, I've been using that place for years and never had a problem with my dogs.
Lacy was NOT talking... I asked her where she had been , and she pretended to not understand... (she really didn't, being deaf!
) This was about 2 hours after I noticed she was not in her seat. I was BEREFT. I've already had two dogs go across the Rainbow Bridge this summer. If I had lost Lacy... I would have been lost.
Thanks for all the good wishes. Jim, don't tell Max anything about it. I'm sure he would be really pissed at me.
The moral support I knew you folks were giving was worth treasures untold.
Thanks,
Pat
