Seeking your opinions on which place is more "accommodating" for non RV park full-time casita living. I am a 49 year old single-by-choice at the moment, newly licensed real estate agent choosing to reside full time in a non-traditional home...yes, ironic, I know. The real estate market is good in both places, so my main question is which area is more accepting/accommodating for full time non-RV park casita living? Thank you.

Neither of the two cities is particularly friendly towards boondocking within the city limits.

Around Los Vegas to the north east is National Rec Area where you can do dispersed camping but there are time limits that must be followed - 15 days before you have to move and a total of 90 days per year allowed. You will also need your annual National Park pass for this.

You can also camp for free on BLM land southeast of LV but it would be a bit of a haul each time you had to go in to town. It's limited to 14 days at a time before you  have to move on.

You could probably bounce around between all of them and some other places to the west of LV. I understand that the casinos in LV are particularly unfriendly.

Naples has 4 super W/M that although Naples says no overnight parking allowed, apparently various RVs are staying anyways. The only one that has no reports on Allstays.com is the smaller neighborhood market.

There is limited camping available outside of Naples at Picayune Strand State Forest and Big Cypress National Preserve, both a good hike from town.

Here's  what I use to find boondocking places:

Freecampsites.net
Allstays.com - drivers app - Walmart
Casinocampers.com

I know nothing about Naples, but there are a few dispersed camping areas on Lake Mead. There's also boondocking along US95 south of Henderson. If you don't need to be close to LV, there's "Poverty Flats" near Overton, Telephone Cove on Apache Lake near Laughlin, and the east edge of town in Pahrump.

Winters in southern Nevada can get downright cold, though.

I stayed a few weeks in both. Neither are very friendly to RVers (I'm in a van, so I went 'stealth').

As someone mentioned, the Walmarts in Naples are all technically "no parking", but none of them seemed to enforce it.

I presume you already know that you will need a number of different parking spots, the more the better, and will need to rotate between them so you are not in the same place too long or too often. Nobody is going to let you live in their parking lot indefinitely. Nobody. Anywhere.

Naples is a good place to be in the winter. (Every winter I always try to be in either Florida or Texas.) And if you like wildlife and the outdoors, there are a LOT of wildlife refuges and parks around the city. I had a good time there.

Both areas will be hot in the summer but the low humidity in Vegas will make it more comfortable. Are you planning on staying in public campgrounds, RV parks, stealth camping, or boondocking? There are more options for all of these in Nevada, especially boondocking on public land.

I think you'll be fine in either place with a trailer but Florida will be more expensive.

Yes really no need to re-start with a new thread?

Just out of curiosity, why just those two very specific locales?

And what aspects of **not** being "welcoming and/or accommodating" are you worried about?

What sort of campsites do you plan to use?

How important is the income vs budget issue?

Thank you for the helpful insight from someone already familiar with this lifestyle. I never got a notification that anyone had replied to my post so thought my post didn't go through...techno error on my part. But now someone helped me see where I can go to view responses.

and I really am still curious why only **those** two choices?

A lot of people try to live cheap near the Florida coast and they were pretty good at not letting you... Naples as I recall is an upper crust area with more "equal" law enforcement....

I stayed an RV park in Las Vegas that had good monthly rates, was not in a bad area & the shower house was ok. I'd go back & spend the $400 a month.

^^ Naples is essentially one long road that runs along the coast. The "rich" neighborhood is the side along the water, and the "poor" neighborhood is the side across the street. ;)
