Hi, I am 41 in East texas and was gifted a 2003 nissan frontier 5 speed manual 6.5' bed 4 door. i am too big for it needing to sell or trade for a minivan but no idea where to go to do it.

Here are some of the sites I used when I was on the other side of the cash register (shopping for a car) that might be useful to you too:

Researching a realistic price to charge:
https://www.edmunds.com/appraisal/https://www.kbb.com/https://www.nadaguides.com/
Finding a dealer (if you decide to go that way):
https://www.realcartips.com/cardealers/360-dealership-ratings-reviews.shtml
Here's some "how to sell" advice from the same companies that I thought gave good "how to buy" advice:
https://cars.usnews.com/cars-trucks/how-to-sell-your-carhttps://www.edmunds.com/sell-car/10-steps-to-selling-your-car.htmlhttps://www.kbb.com/car-advice/how-to-sell-a-car-10-steps-for-success/https://www.nerdwallet.com/article/loans/auto-loans/7-simple-steps-to-selling-your-car
There's plenty more where that^^^ came from; I just picked a few samples from sources I felt had helped me.

It's amazing what you can find online these days. If you're really at the "no idea" stage, I'd say invest a few hours in research -- even over-researching it, till you feel confident.

I bought my used car just before the prices skyrocketed. There might be other advice you should heed for the new, crazier market.

Be prepared to meet whack jobs on Craigslist (but I agree it's probably the best place if you want to sell it yourself, which is probably a good thing to do).

And -- not from personal experience but based on experiences I've heard about here -- make sure you do the title-transfer paperwork right, so that once you relinquish the car you're off the hook for whatever the new owner does with it.

Good luck!

If it's in good shape and has low miles, it might be worth a fair amount these days.

If you can post a few pics here in the Market Place you might get some offers.

I always like going to the dealership. They will do a trade-in and help you get into a new van. Prices are really high about now so check prices online to several places and then go from there. I bought from a dealership and got my minivan used but that was a few years ago. I have a great experience and it was pretty quick. I know I paid a bit more had I bought from a private seller but buying from a dealership is a great way to ensure you don't get stuck with a lemon or end up getting mugged or scammed.

A dealership means they will stand behind the sale so if it goes wrong they are still there tomorrow to sue! Posters on craigslist have no paper trail so once the sale is done they are onto the next account posting listings.
