I plan on hitting the road in a couple of months and would like any advice on what is the best health insurance out there. I am not going to take any chances being out on the road without any health insurance.

You could check out christian healthcare ministry and a few others out there like that coverage.
You must research but it gives you a definite option to research and it is actually a popular alternative for many. But you have to do your personal research on it. Might be an option for you maybe.
